I’ll try my best to keep the tutorials under 2 minutes... but no guarantees hahaha. If you see an effect or technique you want explained, drop it in the community. Here’s my journey Hey, I’m Saif, and I’m the one who started the Self Filmmaker Society. A few years ago, I was driving buses for a living. Same routine every day, and deep down I knew I wanted more. One day I picked up a camera and just went for it. I packed my bags and moved to California. I didn’t know anyone, had no plan, no idea what I was getting into. All I knew was that I loved capturing moments. I worked hard, took whatever jobs I could get, and slowly started meeting people in the industry. Over time, I got to work with some really big names like Ashton Hall, who’s one of the most viral creators out there right now, and Corey Calliet, Michael B. Jordan’s trainer who worked on Creed 3. I’ve filmed with a lot of high-level people, and I’m proud of that. But I started to feel like I didn’t want to be just the camera guy behind someone else’s vision. I wanted to create my own. I wanted to build something real. So in 2019, I started posting my own content. I built my brand from scratch. Today, I’ve grown to over 700,000 followers across social media, turned my passion into a career, and I’m living the life I used to dream about. It’s been a long journey, and I’m still going. My biggest goal is to one day direct and produce a film that plays in theatres, something I’m truly proud of.
