Wellness, What Is It To You?
Kicking this off with my take on Wellness, we must travel back in time to the days when villages were built around the source of water - the Well. Man can not survive without it. The Well was the centre of the community, where the women chat, the children play, and news is shared. Well Water was the mainstay of Wellness! For the people, the gardens, and the wildlife. It was when water was limited in supply that people's hygiene practices fell away and illness (the opposite to wellness) presented as an imbalance. Bring the water back and the well'ness returns. Clean water, filtered through Mother Earth or collected and trickled over rocks and creeks, aerates it and keeps it free of anerobic pathogens - microorganisms (mostly bacteria) that thrive and cause infections in environments lacking oxygen, like deep wounds, abscesses, or the gut, because oxygen is toxic to them. In todays modern world of treated water sources, our water has become intentionally contaminated, with the cover story that it's done to make it more beneficial. We could all do that if we had filters in each home, then we could choose what we are filtering out, and how. Most body imbalances (dis-ease) are a direct result of the amount of clean fresh water we DON'T drink. How do you describe Wellness?
