Week 2 - Day 1 - tick. On track. Toe Yoga - well, I still find this to be a strange exercise as does my toes. 😀

Weekly Check In
Hey team, Happy monday, how are you enjoying this heat? I have decided to shift the weekly check in to friday evening this week at 5.30pm. Hope that time better suits everyone. You can access this by clicking LIVE in skool or via the calendar tab. I will record it if you can't make it 😊 Have an awesome week! Coach Geno

Geno, thanks for this. I missed last week's check in, belated apologies. We have friends staying this Friday - is the check in very long?

Geno, when I do the kneeling hip flexor stretch (Runner mobility routine), I feel the stretch in my quads, rather than my hip/thigh. I've watched the video a few times plus other video's and still get the same result. I do have extremely tight quads, so wonder if this is simply a consequence? Maybe there's some additional stretching required (forever 😀) to stretch my quads?
Introduction
Hey team, Welcome to the Strong Runner Coaching Program! Please read the START HERE post. Would be great to get to know you, let us know: 1. What is your 2026 running goal 2. Why do you run? Heres mine: 1. To run Tarawera 50k on February 14th 2. I run to take opportunities my fitness and health gives me. I run to reach new levels and limits. I run to empower others to do the same.

My 2026 running goal is to do 60mins, 10kms. my fastest time is 1hr, 9 mins. I started running about 2 years ago with parkrun (first time ever running 5kms and nearly died!). Slowly I built up to 10kms and have managed to do some Aramex walk/run events and other running events. I run because it helps both my mental and physical fitness). I've just turned 58 and at that age and stage of life where I'm noticing my mobility is average so I'm looking forward to moving more, with ease.

Hi. I'm 55+, a beginner/intermediate runner. I hope to improve my general running ability. My goal is to run 10kms under an hour, by Dec 2026.
