You become the person they call when their plate is full and they need someone reliable to get things done. The startup cost is almost zero. You need a phone, a mode of transport, and the ability to be organised, punctual, and trustworthy. That's it. What makes this business grow quickly is reliability. In a world where people struggle to find someone who shows up when they say they will and does exactly what they promised, being that person is your biggest competitive advantage. And once you build trust with a client they don't just use you once, they put you on a weekly retainer because life doesn't stop being busy. What the numbers can look like: - Charging $25 to $40 per hour for errand running. - Three clients a day at two hours each, that's $150 to $240 a day. - Five days a week, that's $750 to $1,200 a week. - Four weeks a month, that's $3,000 to $4,800 a month. Add clients on monthly retainers who pay a flat fee for a set number of hours per week and your income becomes predictable and consistent. This also scales really well. As demand grows you can bring on a small team, take on more clients, and move from doing the errands yourself to managing a service that other people run for you.
