💡Idea of the Day: Furniture Flipping
This is one of those businesses where people literally throw away profit every single day. Furniture flipping is the process of finding old or inexpensive furniture, improving it, and reselling it for a higher price. Sometimes it’s as simple as paint, cleaning, new handles, or minor repairs. People are constantly giving away or selling furniture cheaply because they’re moving, redecorating, or just want things gone quickly. And once a piece is transformed well, the value changes completely. A dresser bought for $40 can easily resell for $180 to $300 after a good makeover. Dining sets, coffee tables, bedside tables, mirrors, and vintage pieces do especially well. The best part is that you can start very small. Facebook marketplace, garage sales, thrift stores, and moving sales are full of opportunities. And content-wise? This business performs really well online because people love before-and-after transformations. One good flip can become both your product and your marketing at the same time 😃🔥 Do you think you’d enjoy the creative side of furniture flipping or the selling side more? 👇🏽

💡How to use your competitors' followers to grow your own account 🤩
Let me share one of the simplest organic growth strategies that still works really well 😄 Your competitors have already gathered the exact kind of audience you’re trying to reach. The people following and engaging with their content are already interested in that niche, which means they could also be interested in you. The strategy is: - Go to an account in your niche with an engaged audience. Don’t just look at the follower count, look at the comments. Pay attention to the people actively engaging. - Then go and engage with them intentionally. - Like a few posts. Leave thoughtful comments that actually add to the conversation. Follow them if their content aligns with your niche. The goal isn’t to spam people. It’s to naturally make yourself visible in spaces where your ideal audience already exists. When people notice your engagement, many of them will click on your profile out of curiosity. If your page is clear and relevant, some of them will follow you. Do this consistently for 15–20 minutes a day and over time you’ll start attracting followers who are actually interested in what you do. Your task for today is to find one account in your niche and spend 15 minutes intentionally engaging with their audience. Come back and tell us which account you chose 😃

💡Idea of the Day: Photo Keychain Party Business
I came across this on Instagram and honestly thought...this is such a smart business idea. Here’s how it works. You set up at parties or events, kids take photos, and the pictures get turned into personalised keychains or wristlets on the spot. And that’s what makes it brilliant, the party favour becomes part of the experience itself. Parents love things that feel interactive and memorable, especially when it’s something the kids get excited about immediately. Plus it removes the stress of trying to figure out party bag ideas. This could work for: - Birthday parties - School events - Baby showers - Dance recitals - Brand pop-ups - Holiday events And the startup model is actually pretty simple. Once you have your setup, you can automate a lot of the business side too; bookings, reminders, deposits, follow-ups, all of it. Here’s what the numbers can look like 😀 20 kids at $15 per personalised keychain = $300 from one event. Two bookings a weekend = $600. Add bigger events and school bookings into the mix and this can easily grow into a solid income stream. Here’s the post that inspired this idea 👇🏽 Instagram link What type of event do you think would book this the most in your area? 👀

💡Idea of the Day: Home Service Middleman
Most people don’t realise this is even a business, but it absolutely is. Think about how stressful it is trying to find a reliable plumber, cleaner, electrician, painter, or handyman. People spend hours asking for recommendations, comparing prices, and hoping the person they hire actually shows up and does a good job. That frustration is the opportunity. A home service middleman business is where you become the trusted connector between homeowners and reliable service providers. You’re not doing the physical work yourself, you’re coordinating the job and making the process easy for both sides. You build a network of trusted professionals, then when someone needs help, you connect them to the right person and charge a coordination fee or percentage from the job. The real value here is convenience and trust. Once people know you connect them with reliable workers, they come back again and again. Here’s what the numbers can look like 👀 A $400 plumbing job with a 15% fee = $60 A $1,500 painting project = $225 A $300 deep clean = $45 Multiply that across multiple jobs every week and this can quickly turn into recurring monthly income. And the best part? You can run the entire thing from your phone. No need for warehouse, equipment, or a physical labour. Just organisation, communication, and a strong network. Do you think you’re already connected to enough reliable service providers to turn something like this into a business? 😃👇🏽

@Funmilola Taiwo That's such a valid concern and honestly it's the most important part of making this business work 😃 I'll suggest you start with service providers you already know personally or have used yourself; your own plumber, your cleaner, someone from your church or community. People you can vouch for. As you grow you can ask each provider or friends and family to refer other reliable people in their trade and vet them through trial jobs or by checking reviews and references before adding them to your network. Your reputation is built on who you recommend so you take your time building that list carefully 🙌🏽
