May the 4th (Be With You) ☯️
The Force was based on the Tao (Dao). So if you don't understand what the Tao is all about... Think of the Force. Who's watching some Star Wars today? What's your favorite movie, show, game, or character? ENJOY. 🙏

Who is the Wisest of them all? 🤔
The Oracle at Delphi said no man was wiser than Socrates. Socrates doubted this. He tested this claim by questioning politicians, poets, etc. (the people who must be wiser than him, of course)… They all claimed knowledge they lacked. He realized he was wiser only because... He did not believe he knew what he did not actually know. "I know that I know nothing.” (my version, “We know closer to nothing than something.”) Being ok with not knowing... Allows for growth… Whereas believing we already know it all … Is what prevents us from knowing anything at all! Maintain self-awareness and don’t pretend to have certainty about the uncertain. (even at the risk of looking stupid… Better to look stupid than to be stupid!) The Socratic Method. Don’t be afraid to ask questions. Here are a couple more pieces of wisdom I’ve picked up along the way: Health is Wealth. There is more to life than the rat race we find ourselves in. Everything is everything. Nothing is nothing. We’re all in this together. Literally, on this rock flying around the sun. If we are of this universe, then we are universal… One person’s best day, May be another’s worst, And vice versa. Keep your head up. Keep your head on a swivel. Remain calm. Keep your balance. Take a deep breath. Stop to smell the roses. There is no time like the present. Ready is an action, not a moment. One step at a time. One foot in front of the other. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Incremental becomes exponential. We all have wisdom to share... And we all need to be Skooled up on things we’ve missed. What pieces of wisdom have you picked up on your journey? Share with the class. 🙏

@Jake Hill well said, Socrates was well worth emulation, particularly in his open, questioning logic. Thanks for the shout out, I've also enjoyed our exchanges.
On the Origins of Yang Style Tai Chi ☯️
Yang Style is the most popular and well known style of Tai Chi. Most of the "for health" Tai Chi you'll find is based on Yang Style. Here is a video regarding some of the story/legend behind the style. The world of Kung Fu and Tai Chi is full of great origin stories and legends. ENJOY. 🙏

It is a good series- but the facts presented are not without controversy- Yang Luchan is a mysterious person, not showing up much in verifiable documented history that the Chinese record keepers are so good at. This story has several variations but yeah, it's interesting to put myth up against legend and see what makes sense and what makes good entertainment.
What is your perception...? 🤯
Of perception...? What is really real reality? And what is a "controlled hallucination"? Can we learn some Jedi Mind Tricks...? 🤔

I generally agree with what he is saying, except when he comes to "so when -you- say the brain creates experience, you are using something inside the experience to explain the experience, that is circular" this is a bit of strawman logical fallacy, I didn't say that, he did- he made a circular argument then refuted it. Sounds good and all but is often used to make ones point without doing the harder work of finding and refuting a real objection. I wouldn't say the brain creates the experience but rather is used to interpret the experience. My 2 cents🙏
Street Fighter 👀
This looks pretty dope and has quite the cast. Andrew Koji has become one of the top Kung Fu stars since he broke out in Bruce Lee's Warrior (one of the best shows of all times!) Who wins, Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter? 🤷‍♂️

I played more Mortal Kombat, but this looks like fun- and I agree Andrew Koji and Warrior was the best MA tv show. With him and Callina Liang as Chun-Li, it could be a notch above the basic beat'em up video game adaptation that MK movies always were.

@Jake Hill I am not sure, but I would be stoked if she turned out to be part of the famous Liang family of martial artists (Shao-Yu and Helen, primarily) -she is from Vancouver, after all. Probably not, but it would be cool!
