Explaining an Autism Diagnosis to your child
When my son was first diagnosed with autism at age 3 I worried about how I would tell him about his diagnosis as he got a little older... I looked for books in the library and Amazon, I couldn't find anything that really worked, most books were either for other neurotypical children explaining what autism was or it was about a character with autism. So I created this picture book to explain an autism diagnosis to a child who has autism. If you're looking for something similar please feel free to download it for FREE here: https://functionalautism.com/your-brain-works-differently-and-thats-okay

Afternoon! I am so excited about finally being able to partake in an active yet educational group that pertains to what I am currently researching for my 3 yr old little girl as we speak! To be able to delve into this and get some advice, knowledge other than reading etc is a God Send or someone throwing a life line for her! I apologize in advance if I ask to many questions etc. I just want to hel be the solution to the many diagnosis that my daughter is trapped by daily. Thank You again for accepting me to this group! Very much appreciated and THANK YOU for wanting to advocate for the few and far between that believe in this form of treatment! You’re AWESOME!!
