Thoughts
Sometimes I wonder if this journey that I am currently on (MS) has anything to do with being busy in life. Let me explain. I used to think that the more busy I was I thought the better life was supposed to be. I kind of wonder if that is why I’m on this journey to begin with because I never would slow down and this is God’s way of saying slow down son. I’ve noticed that my muscles are getting more rigid as time goes on and that I have more challenges because of that. I do see a massage therapist weekly, but that’s just to get me through another week. I don’t have any complaints except I’m just not the same as I used to be. But I can find time to relax and take in the scenery from around me. Maybe smell the roses and watch the birds and squirrels fight over who gets the food in the feeder. I heard an interesting approach to MS this morning and it made sense to me. It was someone interviewing a Japanese elder who said that MS wasn’t too much of a problem there because they would feed the body what it was lacking: vitamin B. If they fed it enough, then the body would repair itself. He went on to say what myelin was; made out of vitamin B. So to produce more of it, the body needs vitamin B. It’s amazing that the last blood test I had a week ago showed the same results. You can bet I’m going to start making sure that my body is getting enough of the nutrients it’s looking for. Has anyone else heard of this? Please share. Blessings

@Adam Koller thank you for your response. I had never thought of it like this before today and, bam, a light came on. I’m no clinician nor did I play one on tv, but the pieces started coming together. Kind of amazing how, when you have time, that happens. I agree wholeheartedly with your text and Kelsey and I had a discussion about this the other day.
Kayaking
I spent the latter part of the afternoon with our youngest daughter and went kayaking today with my rehab group. Wow did we have fun!! She had a chance to meet quite a few of the therapists and fit in on the conversation well. It was such a good experience and I’m looking forward to this weekend when both of our daughters and significant others will have the opportunity to go to the rehab facility and have lunch during their open house.

@Adam Koller it was a good day and the water was very calm today. We had fun laughing together and with some of the staff and volunteers. A day that I would like to do again sometime soon.
Dinner
Fun take on old recipe. Added greens and mushrooms into my basic pasta dish. But I forgot the olives! 🫢

There’s always next time 😊
Nutrition
Now that we are sharing more about nutrition, I want to know what principles people follow, (if any). Might be low carb/high protein/vegan/vegetarian... Whatever you do, we want to know more about it.

@Adam Koller I think the reason why it’s not as popular is the nomenclature fermented. So many people have the idea that someone is creating alcohol of some sort. There is more alcohol in what the general public eats every morning when they combine Frosted Flakes and milk. The same goes for the kombucha that I make. People have their minds clouded and don’t necessarily want to accept that there are better ways of living life. I could go on and on about this but alas I digress. 😊

@Kelsey Drake there are actually some body builders that are doing well being vegetarian. I’ve heard that some studies suggest that muscles recover faster from eating a vegetarian diet. Did you get the response I sent from your question about whether I played other instruments?
When Life Gets in the Way
This week's focus is all about focusing on progress, not perfection. When life gets in the way, you have to fight to get back into the things you know work for you.

This path started 11 years ago when I was stung in the back of the neck. Have lost a few modalities but try to continue to look on the bright side
