I got my first issue of Sports and Spokes. It looks like a great information source for us in the handicapped community. I’m looking forward to seeing what is between the covers. If there is anything of interest, I’ll be sure to send it out.
@Kelsey Drake this is the schedule for the adaptive sports that came with the magazine. I had no idea that these were available. I’m excited to learn more about them.
I spent the better part of today at a health seminar. The information that was provided was very useful and informative. I often think that I am going to find the key that fits the lock of my MS. After listening to the information I’m almost convinced that I am on the right path but I have to be totally committed and stick to the plan that I have chosen and I will be successful in overcoming. The crazy thing about today was that I happened to look down at my phone and my aunt had texted me. I thought it was a little odd given the time of day so I texted back and told her what I was doing. Apparently she was heading down to the seminar but thought it started at two. Unfortunately it had started at ten so she missed the better part of this particular seminar but it was so good to see her and share a couple of hours together. I enjoyed it. The attached pictures are some of the slides from the seminar. I hope you enjoy them and have a wonderful day. Blessings
@Kelsey Drake my BIL was talking about the cold plunge yesterday after church. He’s not a fan of the cold. The hot tub is more his style. From what I can tell, the cold plunge is about building resiliency in one’s mind.
@Kelsey Drake I hear that it’s good to expand your mind in that way. I also hear that the benefits towards mental health are second to none. Not suggesting that you have any challenges here but it’s more powerful than any meds, at least to this point. I think it’s a great healing modality for muscles also. Benefits are wild.
This was dinner… got too hungry and forgot to grab a proper pic but it was great. Beef, potatoes, avocado and homemade chipotle avocado mayo. Great being back home leading into my favorite time of year.
I learned something new today that makes sense but I hadn’t even considered it until now. Your calves are basically controlled by your feet. If you move your feet across surfaces, your calves are there to assist in moving your blood through to your heart. That way your body can benefit from the circulation of blood and your muscles will benefit from renewed circulation. Bottom line: get up and move! Blessings
We were able to go to our local Egyptian restaurant and have some of their freshly made kofta today. I cannot imagine how much weight I would put on if they were closer to my house. Their food is so delicious. I could not eat the portion all in one setting.
