Strum and Pick!
PS - There is no rule that says you must strum chords. Try picking. Thousands of examples to choose from. Pick out the melody, and then play it again! Metronome the fingers.

More Chords please - A7, D7, E7 etc.
I just changed my vote from ‘changing chords’ to ‘more chords’. Many pieces require 7th chords, and the examples in your NBN book are easy and very helpful. Sharable for sure. And very playable!

F Major - B flat is coming? No complaints. A sharp is fine. Shape of these cords never been happy with my fingers. Was imaging a new shape was coming so I could enjoy playing in F Major a bit more. Thanks for all. L
One Note, then Two.
Pick up your guitar. Start your metronome. Play.

@Joshua Rogers You say what I mean! Anything that trains each finger to ‘fly’ independently and true is good for any musician, no matter the instrument. For guitar, such efforts are especially rewarding!

Finding saying chord notes out loud as I SOFTLY place left hand fingers down repeatedly (3 times) helps. Also, for me, I barely touch my left hand thumb on the back of the neck. (I was taught to ‘grip’ the neck…very hard habit to break but left hand fingers must relax and dance if they are fly). Relaxed hands is the hope.
New Course in the Classroom
Hi fellow conquerors! I have just created a new 5 chord course showing you how to play 7th chords. When we first start out on guitar we usually tend to focus on major and minor chords. Usually dominant 7th and minor 7th chords follow. The new course will teach you how to play: C7 A7 G7 E7 D7 All of the note names are in the title of each lesson. Make sure to say the name of the chord as you play it. This honestly helps you to remember the name of the chord. Go forth and conquer!

A Major needs F# minor for 6th degree rather than B minor.

Update to G major course in Classroom
Big thanks to @Larry Marchant for letting me know that several chords were missing from this course. I’m happy to say I’ve added the missing chords! Keep those fingers flying!

Enjoy folk, classical, classic, and pop. Play nylon string guitar because easier on my fingers. Enjoy NBN method. Lifetime adventure!
