I really want to get to know all of you better, please...
Consider just writing and elaborating on why you joined. Many of you have told me what your interested in gaining from this community becasue of the questions I asked on the membership application, but nothing further has been accomplished. Some have said they like Fiction. Others said Poetry, and Autobiography, screen writing, online, articles, children's books, Blogging, Reviews, and Comedy. The list goes on and I truly want to get you all going on these things but I am not getting any requsts, or questions, or 'how do I do this' kind of posts. If you don't want to put yourself out in front of the group, I understand that. So, please, DM me if you need to do it that way. I am here for you and I truly want to start that process of helping you. Connect with me. I am anxiously waiting.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to properly introduce myself and also respond to the call to share more. I joined this community because I’m genuinely passionate about creative writing and manuscript development, especially as an alpha and beta reader helping fiction and non-fiction authors refine their work with clear, reader-focused feedback. What I’m hoping to gain here is deeper growth in understanding storytelling structure, improving the quality of feedback I give, and learning more from other writers in different genres. At the same time, I’m also open to contributing where I can, whether that’s feedback, discussion, or supporting others’ writing journeys. I’d love to know, what are you currently working on or hoping to improve as writers?
Writer Warriors Unite!
A strange, eerie darkness had overtaken all of "the write way" community. At least a day had passed since someone new cast their shadow on the door of the slumbering collective. The people huddled, cowering under the threat of a stagnant air. The lack of change brought a hushed unquiet upon the group. They had not known such a terrible thing in a number of hours. The horizon looked ominous and dark, and the waning hope for newness brought a heaviness to every heart. Who could save them from this sudden threat of eternal darkness called the dreaded nothingnew? All hope was lost, until… The heroic “New Crew” came along. First there was Di Vincent, a 65 year young woman, single and living alone as a musician, artist, and writer {with a} trauma history, who, having written a little, brought the Shining Sword of interest in Autobiography to help with this community that she saw as "Free and a new". Joining forces with Di Vincent was Mansi Dharmshot, a teenager passionate about animation, who, new to writing, brought the fabled Magical Book of Binding to quench an interest in novels, screenwriting, and video scripts to the community, in which the young boredom fighter liked the way things were explained in the intro. Lending quick unmatched support was Divya Udharamaney, a working professional seeking {the mysteries of} unlearning and of learning new and diverse ways to live life without regret. Divya, having written a little, held the Shining Shield of interest, having been into academic writing and looking forward to exploring more, as well as brainstorming on what can be written. Seeing the need to see and share and to get to understand what is actually working on a personal level, Divya joined our heroes in the quest to save "The Write Way" community. Always on time Jazzy De La Torre, a trans female 💕💌in Eugene, Oregon. Looking for handsome men who are into social justice and art, joined our team of heroes having already completed some works. She brought with her the piercing Bow of Power with which she finds her interest in poetry. Her love of writing is what inspired her to join with the other heroes, come to the rescue, and save "The Write Way" from the terrible "Nothingnew".

This is genuinely creative and well done. I love how you turned something as simple as a quiet community into a full story with tension, symbolism, and character energy. The way you built “Nothingnew” as an actual force and then introduced each member like a storybook hero was really engaging. You’ve got a strong imagination and storytelling voice here. Respect for this level of creativity🙇‍♀️
Let's laugh together
My wife says the only thing that she thinks is funny about me is the fact that I think I'm funny. Hopefully, this will be a prompt that will get record breaking participation. For a chance to win a choice of: 💠 preapproved promotion to promote anything you like, or 💠a one on one to discuss any project, idea, or topic you need help with The chalenge: write a short paragraph (max 200 words) about something that you either: 👀witnessed, 🙌did, 🙉heard, or 🧠thought was funny. Winner will be the one that gets the most likes. Everyone who participates has to like at least one (no liking you own). Tie breaker will be an impartial non-writer individual (my wife). Come on everyone, give me something to brag to other community owners about. Lets see who can make us laugh the most.

I once beta read a manuscript in which the main character was described as “quietly screaming inside.” I paused and wondered if I had missed the chapter where silence started producing sound effects. A few pages later, the same character was “looking loudly at the sunset.” At that point, I stopped editing and started questioning whether grammar had given up entirely. Now I’ve accepted my role: translating creative chaos back into human language before it escapes the page.
Are you up for a challenge?
How about a simple writing prompt. Take this simple 13 word sentence and make it active, with showing not telling, and avoid using 'ly' words. Unofficial winner is the one with the most descriptive active words in the end. Deadline is 1 day. I'll be watching. Good writing. The cat went to the other side of the street to get something.

I know the challenge is over, but I would like to drop a contribution. Can I?
