What's your story? (Finding direction in social media portrayal)
I've been struggling recently on finding clear direction and portrayal of my branding and the persona I create my art and music through. On the recent Q&A call, Jordan suggested going through this framework and to come up with one sentence with who the character is, why I am creating them, and what I wanted the outcome to be. Here's the sentence I came up with: "Livinity is the embodiment of my shadow-self that transmutes life experiences into a world of love and divinity, where people can feel seen, connected, and like they’re not alone in this complex human experience." Here are the questions I explored and journaled on in order to help get me there: - Who is the persona/character you're creating? - Why did you create them? - Why are you putting them out into the world? - What's the story you want to tell and why? - What is the desired outcome? I found this exercise and framework to be extremely helpful and clarifying in terms of taking a vast amount of ideas, goals, and meanings behind my branding, and nailing it down to one clear focus point. It even inspired the next script that I'll be using in my next project: "Do you think it can exist? A world of cosmic stars and deep lilac blues. Where there’s joy and freedom for all? – I think there can be. You’ve just got to create it. " If you're also going through a rebranding phase or looking to seek clarity on social media portrayal, try giving this framework a shot! Let me know what you think, I would love to hear your guy's thoughts and feedback on this!
