Goalkeeper dilemma update
So an update for you all - we met with Harry’s u13’s management team. I asked the management team what values they are underpinning their coaching with, are the playing their strongest 11 each week to win. Or are they all about development as these kids are 12/13 years old and this team is brand new this season. I was told that they basically wanna push on, they are KYL and that’s the highest level of football you play at grassroots for the kids. So there are 8league games and 1 friendly in there left of the season, they’ve said the other Gk is number 1 again (despite the back story please read Rays post), Harry will play 2 maybe 3 games before end of season for this team. Harry being Harry said yes to their faces but later broke down. Currently he is not playing Sunday as the other Gk has been chosen. Harry is now deciding to leave as it stands. As his GK coach I understand his frustration and I’m too very upset. Then there’s the parent side where I am extremely disappointed that after already being told by the club about them looking after young players mental health that they have left Harry feeling very low. It’s just not good enough. Thanks for all the comments on Rays post. Harry will continue to play up a year for his clubs u14’s team.. Saturday he’ll be up for it Big time and video highlights will be visible Sunday! Have a good day all
