I am too — born and raised in Montreal, now living in Boston, MA 🇨🇦➡️🇺🇸 missing my poutine 😛 Lately, I’ve been feeling a bit all over the place. I just had my third baby and I’m coming back from maternity leave as a recruiter at Meta. Our roles are being taken over by AI, and with the cost of daycare here in the U.S., I’m realizing that maybe this is my sign to slow down and be home with my girls for a while. It’s a strange transition — I’ve always been a “hustler,” constantly chasing goals and productivity. But now my deepest desire is to be present with my three daughters and not raise them in that constant fight-or-flight energy. I’m torn between the voice that says “don’t be lazy, go get a job,” and the one that whispers, “it’s okay to rest and be with your kids right now.” Not many people in my life really understand this phase, so I thought this would be the perfect space to share and connect 🩷 Is anyone else going through something similar?
