Got too many colour combination ideas to count?
If you’ve been spending time on here lately, you’ve probably seen some of the stunning colour combos for the Rujuu Sweater. If you’re feeling inspired and want to play with your favourite pairings without the mystery, I have just released a new pattern! Meet the Elza Sweater. It’s my latest top-down raglan, inspired by another traditional Latvian mitten motif. The pattern is super intuitive with mostly short floats, making it a very meditative knit. You can get the pattern now on Ravelry and Etsy. Use the code ELZA20 to get 20% off through February 8th. (Heads up, newsletter subscribers: check your inbox for an even better exclusive code!) If you run into any issues with the code, please reach out before you finish checking out, as I can't apply discounts once the transaction is complete. Happy knitting!

@Beth Williams oh! I also thought of using those colours. Great to see how it looks!

@Beth Williams looks good!
Clue 2 Complete!
I am torn about my roped edge - the yarn is beautiful wool from Gotland, Sweden, but it is handspun, and so the thickness varies a lot, especially as it is being held double. Variation is from fingering to worsted, if I had to guess. I picked my entire color palette to try to use that yarn, and though gotland wool will loosen and drape a lot when blocked, I am thinking it will be too thick in the body, but it is such a tough decision. Experimenting is so fun!

I like my colors, but feel a bit of a bore when I see some of your choices. I’ll have to do another one with bilder colors.

The Mystery Yokealong is back!
Our Mystery KAL is officially back for year three! We’re knitting a top-down round yoke sweater (or a steeked cardigan) together over seven weekly clues, kicking off on January 16th. This year, we’re leaning into stash-busting, so feel free to start hunting through your yarn collection now. You can get all the details on the Ravelry pattern page or here on Skool in the dedicated Classroom where I’ll also be posting all the relevant video tutorials as clues become available. We’d love for you to jump in and share your yarn picks, questions, and progress photos. Just use the "MYAL 2026" category for your posts. Heads up: we aren’t doing spoiler alerts this time, so feel free to post away in whatever way you like just as long as it is in that category! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

Wonderful with a project that uses up leftovers! I am also in doubt as to main colour., having thought like Beth - that main coulour must be the one that uses most yarn. I guess this is part of the thing with a mystery! Anyway - I will go for dusky pink as A, jeansblue as B, dark blue as C and a dusky purple as D. In all shades, yarns will be mixed. Would that work?

When I do not knit, or work, I hang out with my dogs. Sometimes of course I hang out with my dogs while I knit. I live on Gotland, Sweden.
