Assassination Attempt Sanctioned by the Islamic Regime
The tentacles of the Islamic regime reach far farther than most people realize. I wanted to share the powerful story of Arvin Khoshnood, a political scientist and vocal critic of Iran's regime, who lives in Sweden. Six months ago, he survived an assassination attempt in his own home, allegedly orchestrated by the Islamic Republic of Iran. These are the first two paragraphs from his recent post breaking his silence: "Six months ago, in our home, on an evening that could have been like any other, I was the target of an assassination attempt. Because of a warning I had received several years earlier from the Swedish Security Service, I was able to react quickly and contact the police. As a result, the attempt failed and neither I nor any members of my family were harmed. From that very night, we were forced to leave our home and our normal way of life behind and begin living in a undisclosed location. My silence during these past six months was a deliberate choice. There were several reasons for it, but the most important was to avoid influencing the ongoing police investigation in any way. [...]" This chilling incident highlights the regime's infiltration into Western societies, using criminal networks and operatives to silence dissidents even abroad. Arvin's bravery in continuing his fight, despite the risks deserves widespread attention. It's a stark reminder that authoritarian regimes like Iran's don't respect borders, and their threats can reach into everyday lives in places like Sweden. Please like, repost, and share his story to raise awareness of this dangerous infiltration into our societies.
