Hey everyone 👋. Erick Grau, glad to be here. First computer: An Apple ][ Plus at home, alongside a Timex Sinclair. At school, my first hands-on experience was with a TRS-80 — which explains my lifelong comfort with constraints and creative problem-solving. What I’m running now: Mac-first (16” MacBook Pro + Mac Studio), with Windows and Linux across VMs and cloud environments. Whatever gets the job done cleanly and securely. About my business: I’m the CEO of Chibitek, a New Jersey-based, Latino-owned MSP working nationwide. We support creative, PR, healthcare, and growth-focused SMBs with a heavy emphasis on cybersecurity, automation, and AI. Proactive by default, strategic by design. What brought me here: Always looking to learn from others :) Looking forward to learning and contributing here.

Thanks, Scott. In creative and PR environments, being Apple-first is almost a requirement, not a preference. It’s about meeting clients where they already are and designing support, security, and workflows around how they actually work. That said, we’re very much platform-agnostic under the hood. Macs just happen to be the front door for a lot of creative teams, with mixed environments behind the scenes.
MSP to MIP (managed intelligience provider)
Hey guys, found this great interview with an MSP that has created a new company and is now going down the AI route. The term that I've heard for the first time recently, MIP, Managed Intelligence Provider. Daniel in the podcast mentions his process for getting prospects interested in the options around AI and how he's generating a little bit of revenue from it. Fascinating interview. I would love to build out in the classroom here for our members a little course on how to get started as becoming an MIP. It's actually something that I'm thinking of doing myself. I see a massive opportunity that hardly any MSPs are taking advantage of. Most of the MSPs, including a lot here, when I ask the question, how are you helping your clients with AI? Nine times out of ten, the answer that I get back is usually an internal use case, how they're using it in their own MSP, not how they're helping their clients with AI. So the big question is, how are you helping your clients use AI? I would love to hear any use cases where you're helping your actual clients, not internal use cases, use cases for your clients. Share them here, and maybe we can develop something together for this group.

Unless you’re fully giving up the MSP role, you’re still delivering managed services — support, security, compliance, accountability. AI doesn’t replace that; it adds an intelligence layer on top. That’s why we’ve been calling our approach a Managed Intelligence Services Provider (MISP). Intelligence without service is just tooling. Intelligence with service is where clients actually see value. For us, AI and automation are client-facing, outcome-driven, and governed — not just internal MSP efficiency. Happy to share real client use cases if helpful.
