Why Do We Use Box Vans and Dump Trailers? Versus The Traditional Isuzu Dump Bed
There are many reasons why use this set up: One of the most important reasons is the advertising of driving around a billboard advertising for new business all day. (Its the second best way we get our business, can you guess what the first is?) Keeping tools dry and secure, allowing us to have everything we need with us all the time. A place to store stuff that we will resell out of the weather. The dump trailer allows us to sort right on the job and a way to do many jobs before hitting the dump. Also the dump trailer saves time and allows us to have more energy because we are not doing the labor to unload the truck by hand. We work hard to be effective and efficeint, this set up works great for all the things we do, over time we picked up doing lots of related things like flooring removal and selective demolition and we now have mulitple streams of income all being worked from this one box truck dump trailer set up.

Box truck works best for us. Waste Management has a monopoly on the landfills around here. I rarely go to the dump unless I hit the 3 ton minimum, so I'm highly motivated to mitigate my disposal costs. The box truck works out better since we unload at docks where we take donation, recycling, etc. Plus less maintenance cost and cheaper initial purchase cost (for a cabover). It does kinda suck not being able to press a button and be empty, but we just have a different strategy. And I leverage our larger box size over the big name companies dumps as a better value for the customers money when i'm on big estimates.
Perks Of Owning a Junk Removal Business
Watch this fun and engaging short video. I have slowly upgraded furniture everywhere I have lived for the last 18 years, rarely ever buying anything new.

The BEST Thing We Ever Did - Wrapping Our Vans
Driving around billboards will drive your business. The proof is in the success we have. Notice all of the trucks and trailers have lettering. Don't underestimate how much business. Everywhere you stop, you advertise all day long.

When it comes to vehicle wraps on box trucks, be aware that roll-up wood doors and vinyl wraps are not compatible. It will adhere if the wood door is prepped and has an adhesion promoter, but it will eventually fail early, leaving the sides in great shape and the roll-up door sections peeling away at the edges and looking beat up. Metal roll-up door sections are the way to go. My experience is with a full wrap, not smaller logo or lettering sections. My wrap guy warned me, but I thought I could enamel paint the door and that would work. It didn't.

@David Lockwood Not against it one bit. Just passing on from my mistake. 100% agree on the stoplight. Prime time advertising for whomever is stuck behind you! Vinyl wrap is great advertising!
