I have the intention of being there, but my February Schedule and a Daddy-Daughter dance at my girl’s school on the 6th will dictate this. To be honest, I can’t stand these conferences. Everyone is nervous, the recruiters act like it’s a good time, and you’re not alone in feeling awkward about it. The fact remains it’s a good way for the company you want to fly for to put a face with the name. It’s more personalized than a LinkedIn message. It’s true your time is short so have in mind how you want to present yourself and what you want to say. Each one you go to the more confident you’ll be, but the biggest advice I have is to dress for the job you want, not the job you have, relax, and know that everyone else isn’t as confident as they might try to portray. Best of luck.
