What Workshop should be next?
Hey guys, What would you want me to cover next? Open to anything. If it were up to me I'd go straight into AI agents for outreach. I keep coming back to this because the gap right now is insane. Last week I pulled a list of 100 video game companies with personalized messages in about 30 minutes. Most people are still on Google trying to find a valid email for company number one. Same with proposals. I hop off a Zoom call and 15 minutes later the proposal is done. Not a template. An actual tailored proposal. That window won't stay open forever though. What sounds useful to you guys?

Agentic workflow is where it's at! And MPC... 😱 Model Context Protocol (MPC) provides a structured, standardized way for LLMs and agent systems to access external tools and data sources. If you own a private database exposed through an MPC-compatible interface, multiple AI systems can securely read from and write to it under defined schemas and permission controls, creating a shared, persistent knowledge layer across models. In that setup, the database becomes your sovereign memory infrastructure — not tied to any single AI vendor — while MPC acts as the protocol that governs how context is contributed, retrieved, validated, and audited.
Important Community Update
Hey everyone, I need to address something that's been happening lately. We've been getting hit with spam accounts, AI bots, and people sneaking in just to promote their own services. It's been frustrating watching the quality of our community get diluted by freeloaders who don't actually care about growing as composers. Here's the thing - I spend a lot of time creating videos, tutorials, and answering private message questions entirely for free. And I'll continue doing that because I genuinely want to help you succeed. But to compensate for that time investment and keep this community sustainable, I'm introducing some changes: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! ⚠️ For EVERYONE ALREADY HERE: If you joined for free, you're staying free. Forever. You're grandfathered in. NOTHING changes for you. ⚠️ ⚠️ If you purchased courses before, they are STAYING YOURS. If you joined the premium tier, EVERYTHING STAYS THE SAME ⚠️ For New Members (as of today, 22th Nov. 2025): - Standard Tier: $7/month or $70/year - Full community access, tutorials, partner deals, and networking resources - Premium Tier: $27/month or $270/year - Everything in Standard PLUS access to ALL courses on the platform (Trailer Music Trailblazers I & II, Game Music Conquerors, etc.) This isn't about making money. It's about protecting what we've built here and ensuring I can keep dedicating time to creating valuable content for you. A small barrier filters out the noise and keeps this community focused on what actually matters - helping serious composers build real careers. You'll see me sharing more valuable content, more actionable strategies, and less tolerance for BS moving forward. Questions? Drop them below. Cheerio, Alex

Good call...
The perfect business tool for composers doesn’t exi ...
…yeah, that’s what I used to think too. Because honestly — for years I’ve seen composers (including myself) stuck doing everything that has nothing to do with actually making music. Building demo reels Updating links. Chasing clients. Posting just to stay visible. Juggling six tools that don’t talk to each other. Automating everything? Another overwhelming amoung of tools. No thanks! It’s exhausting — and it’s the reason so many talented composers never get the recognition they deserve. We never learned marketing or tech systems — we learned music. But the industry keeps demanding that we also become marketers, copywriters, web designers, and salespeople. So I went all in these past days. I spent long hours setting things up, testing, breaking, rebuilding — and I think I finally found the missing piece. A connected system built for composers and artists, not for marketers. A place where everything just works: - Leads come in automatically. - Emails and follow-ups go out automatically. - Your contacts, opportunities, and projects are tracked automatically. - Even your social media posts can be generated and scheduled automatically. And here’s the best part — you hardly have to lift a finger. If you want, the entire setup, integration, and even the ongoing management can be handled for you. You focus on composing. We’ll take care of the business side. It’s the first time I’ve seen everything truly work together in a way that feels built for our world — not a corporate one. A few early users already have their systems up and running, and it’s amazing to watch how much time and clarity they’re gaining. Prices are still at early-access level right now, but that won’t stay forever. So if you’re a composer or artist who’s serious about finally turning your creativity into a running business — without wasting hours every day doing admin work — this might be exactly what you’ve been waiting for. You can read more about it here: https://go.growbaze.com/

What's the cost?
Logic Pro & Cubase Pro - Thoughts?
PreSonus/Studio One is in trouble due the the buyout by Fender. Lots of lockout/down time. Yep... It sucks, but it may be time to jump, start learning something else. I'm running a solo commercial studio so I can't be at risk of being left high and dry. My DAW history over the past 15 years started with Reaper and Logic. Used ProTools commercially for a few years but thought Avid was a miserable company to work with and no tech support. From there, jumped to Studio One And I like it just fine, after dabbling with Cubase Pro and Ableton. In the composing world, it seems like the top 2 are Logic Pro and Cubase. Since I own both, I've got to make a decision on which one I'm going to learn inside and out. I'm leaning toward Cubase. Thoughts?

Money on the Table?
We know there are many variables to be considered, bjt what are standard rate ranges for music licensing to avoid underquoting? Looking for both large clients (pharma, auto, insurance) and smaller gigs. For context, I recently met a Telly and Emmy award winning composer placed on HBO, NASCAR, ESPN, MLB, F1, etc. — What do those top-tier placements pay? Thanks!
