🕵️‍♀️ The Antique Detective - a NewTuber Success Story
I want to take a moment to shout out @Debra Morra, one of the first NewTubers in this community. Debra joined this group with only a great idea for a YouTube channel and a willingness to learn and seek out help along the way. She had never made a YouTube video before, never edited, never made a thumbnail… but she didn’t let that stop her. Debra knew that YouTube was becoming increasingly popular for TV viewers, and channels that lean into the “TV show” style could have an advantage. She wanted to visit antique shops all over, meet with the owners, discover hidden treasures, and share their stories with the world. Debra reached out to me immediately after joining NewTubers and asked to book a call. She told me her dream for her YouTube channel, and told me which parts she needed help with. I was able to give Debra personalized help with everything from channel artwork and branding, to thumbnail design and help with titles, to sessions where we would edit videos together, and more. Every session was aimed at helping her learn and master the many core YouTube skills needed to grow a channel, and that’s exactly what she did. Just a few months in, and Debra has published 25 videos, gained almost 700 subscribers, and has already reached her 4000-hour watch time goal on the path to monetizing her YouTube channel. She has been uploading consistently, and stuck with one niche idea from the beginning, and both of these things have served her well on her YouTube journey so far. I invite you to join me in congratulating Debra on her progress so far. She’s really been killing it, and I can’t wait to see how far she will go! Congrats @Debra Morra for your achievement so far in your journey. We are rooting for you.
What’s everyone’s goals for the week?
What’s one YouTube thing you want to accomplish this week? I have a video I am trying to finish up. It’s a “video essay” on a scene from the second Matrix movie. I haven’t decided yet if I should post it on my main channel, but I’m leaning towards doing that even though it doesn’t fit the current channel niche. Who knows, it might do well! What do y’all have going on??

@Woody Hill I definitely will tell you. I just recorded my first 30 minutes long video.

@Woody Hill Me too brother, but if not, I am still getting better one upload at a time.
New video is live and this one is personal.
I break down the three survival mechanics that therapy almost never touches: cultural hyper-adaptation, displacement grief, and identity fusion with survival mode. Each one comes with a reset you can actually use. I built this for you. If you've ever felt like you did the therapy work and something was still missing, this is the missing piece. Watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R9eGNkWDEGw After you watch and drop, which of the three hit you hardest? I want this to be a real conversation, not just a comment section.

@Woody Hill Thank you.
Trying something new (Video)
I took a video that I previously uploaded that underperformed, I chopped off the intro which looking back seemed long and unnecessary, and started it right where we get into the meat of the content. I also added captions which will be good for chopping it into shorts later. Then with some of my own input and a little help from several AI tools, I created 3 thumbnail and title variations for an A/B test. I also revamped the description and the tags. Once this runs for a while I’ll share the data comparison to see if it did any better. Here’s the video if you want to check it out: Stop Waiting to Feel Ready. Do This Instead. https://youtu.be/ifHQdayLQhw

@Woody Hill I like it and although I don’t struggle with confidence, I did learn some new tricks. Thanks.
New Video: Alert
That F-15 colonel survived 36 hours in enemy territory using SERE training. His nervous system ran a survival protocol that kept him alive. Your nervous system is running the same protocol right now, except your war ended years ago. Nobody trained you to shut it off. I break down. 🧠 Neuroception — why your brain scans every room before you sit down. ⚡ The Vagal Brake — why your body shuts down digestion, immune function, and social engagement under threat. 🔥 Cortisol flooding—why you can't focus, can't remember, can't decide. 🗣️ Language shutdown—why do you say "I'm fine" when you are not? https://youtu.be/EieILPfZXzU. 👉 And I give you the same 3 tools the colonel had: 1. Threat Scan Reset 2. Double-Tap Exhale 3. Battle Buddy Protocol

Quick check: Where do you feel this most right now? A) Can’t relax even when things are “fine” B) Always scanning people / rooms C) Exhausted for no clear reason D) Can’t explain what’s wrong E) Other (tell me) Just drop the letter—or say it in your words.
