What are some people’s strategies on New Years Eve? Less concerned with imbibing too much, more concerned with inhibitions going down after a couple drinks and over eating.
It works a little differently depending on what the NYE event is but if just drinks/dancing: Focus on high protein and high volume, fruits and vegetables in breakfast and lunch to keep you feeling full. Right before you leave for the event do the same thing. I usually eat a big meal of chicken/beef, veggies and a bit of carbs to give me some energy for the event. If you plan it right you can bank 300-600 calories and is enough for 3 to 6 drinks (If you keep the drinks low calorie) And just know its the holidays, you can eat a little more. The tip above assumes you want to hit your deficit, but really you can eat at maintenance or a little over in new years, you'll be alright as long as you're weight training
