Cancer
Unfortunately my patner passed away last night, bloody cancer, so i am giving myself a break for a month, then starting back with my horses.

Welcome @Becca Martin . Your lovely horse looks huge - i would need a tall stepladder for getting up there x
Clean the Oven?
The lovely @Sarah Evans sent me this, she thought I would like it, yes it made me smile, so I thought I would pass it on…. 😊😊

Bloody Cancer
I havent ridden for 4 months as my partner was having chemotherapy. Unfortunately, we have been told he is now terminal and my horses are taking a back seat. I have been riding for 64 years, worked as a dealer and coach and find this hard, its the longest i have ever been and not ridden. I am worried about getting back on board once he passes, as i feel my nerves will be shot at.

Oh gosh Vanessa I am so sorry to read this. Cancer certainly is "bloody cancer". Going through a cancer journey with my hubby tho he is in "remission" now after a battle last year. My horses certainly took a back step which broke my heart but tbh they were fine - one enjoyed an extra year being feral and the other being pampered on full livery in a busy yard. I could pop to see her whenever I could and did once or twice a week where she was my therapist and dried my tears beautifully in her delicious smelling neck and main. Wishing you and your hubby all the very best. Make the most of your precious time together 🙏
Comfort zone
Last Tuesday, I ticked something off my bucket list. I went to Pompeii! Why am I telling you lovely lot? Well one of my friends told me that she thought I was very brave. You see I travelled solo. In her eyes that makes me very brave as it’s something she couldn’t imagine doing. In my eyes, it’s no big deal as I’ve been travelling alone for a long time. It made me reflect that what is OK for one is exceptional for someone else. What’s that phrase? Amazing things happen when we leave our comfort zone. Pompeii was worth the trip…
