I just dropped an updated version of my growth guide — and you can grab it for free! 🎉 HOW I GAINED 20K+ FOLLOWERS IN 4 MONTHS ON INSTA FOR ARTISTS This new version is packed with way more than before. It’s all about how I actually grew to 20K followers on Instagram in 4 months — the real strategy behind the saves, hooks, shares & audience building. No fluff, just what worked. 👉 The link: https://ko-fi.com/s/b198143a83 💛 Real talk: If this guide helps you and you feel like leaving a small tip — even just a little — it means the world and keeps the free stuff coming like this community & free courses like this. But absolutely zero pressure. It’s yours either way. This is my gift to you. I hope it helps. 🫶 @responsiblymessyart

Hello, here's my story: I've been making art for as long as I can remember. My journey began with textile design, but I realized it was difficult for me to design something that appealed to the masses. After a break to raise two children, I continued to create designs on the side, which I then gave to studios who sold them for a small commission. Once the children were old enough, I started studying art for a diploma and art education at the age of 40, and afterwards I worked as an art teacher for 15 years. Unfortunately, I don't support the German school system at all, so I left three years ago and now create art on my own. I'm still looking for ways to reach people with my art, which is why I've turned to social media. To this day, I'm also working on my mindset, which for decades had convinced me that I couldn't make a living from art. That's the short version :)

What’s your toxic art trait? 😝
Your ride-or-die art material? The material you keep buying… and can’t stop using. And one or more tip we all need to steal from you

I love good B pencils because I draw almost every day. I like to buy sketchbooks from Action, but probably only the Germans and Dutch people here are familiar with that brand. Otherwise, I also buy them at Boesner. For paints, I prefer acrylics from Amsterdam or the Boesner house brand. Since I use white the most, I usually buy a large bucket of white wall paint there; it's cheaper and just as good as artist's white.

@Guadalupe Lomeña My suggestion would be to look at it, as I find it lacking in tension and vibrancy (highs and lows and contrasts). It's not finished in its current state. I would recommend continuing to edit it, but with the approach you've taken so far. Just be bolder, add shadows and highlights, and be more precise and specific in certain areas. If you have an iPad, take a photo of your image and experiment with different editing techniques before applying them manually to your photo.

@Ariel Harris I understand it was a little training before I can use it in a good way but if you make it every day it’s getting better and better , it’s like learning an instrument I think :)
