Advice for newbies to vet med?
I'm grateful for all the passion and wisdom that people bring to this community. We have members that are just entering the field and others that have been around for 30+ years. Let's pay it forward (as the cool kids say). What advice would you give someone new to vet med in regards to caring for their physical and emotional health? This is a safe space and there are no wrong answers. What works for one might not for another. But having more tools in the toolbox of health can only help! Please share your perspective.

Wearing noise-cancelling headphones (with or without music) in clinic are handy when you find yourself in need of deep thought or a break from the general "noise" at work.

@Amelia Knight Pinkston A very sincere thank you for your concern and taking the time to check in with me. I regret to say that I have not followed through on my plan to create an outline of your presentation, I continue to practice seemingly always behind in action and unable to catch up. That being said I have contacted a recommended counselor and hope to begin session with her soon.

@Amelia Knight Pinkston Just completed participating in your online class. I found it very valuable beyond the benefit of the meditation period you offered at the end the program. This time I made notes as I participated. :) Again, Thank you!

How to encourage staff members to utilize no-cost CE opportunities available to them outside clinic hours....... essentially self education as a benefit that is worthy of their own personal time investment.
Live Webinars - Best Times / Days?
Hey friends. I'm putting together some free live webinars for the community and I'd like to know what days and times would work best for people. I can record these and post in the collective so everyone gets a chance to get the material either way, but being there live will allow Q&A. Right now I'm working on a clinic body mechanics / ergonomics session and one on quick and easy mobility / exercises to prevent injuries. Comment below and tell me what works best for you and I'll update our Calendar! (Don't forget to include your timezone)

I'm fine with Monday through Saturday. Sunday's are my family day. As for time, early morning or evening is best. Avoiding 7:30 to 6pm CST. I prefer live; however, I'm also perfectly fine with recorded webinars.
