Time to Introduce Ourselves (Finally!)
Hi everyone! I joined the group a few days ago and finally took some time to dive in. Really glad I did — just scrolling through the feed, I can already tell this is a great fit. My name’s Nisse, and together with my wife Alison, we run Jeannine’s, a family-owned Bakery - Breakfast and lunch -Coffee shop concept based in Santa Barbara. The brand has been around for over 40 years — it’s part of Alison’s family legacy — and today we operate 4 locations, with a team of over 80 people, generating around $10M annually — most of which goes right back into supporting our staff and operations. While Alison leads the heart of the business, I support across multiple areas: developing new income streams, building out retail (like postcards we designed from AI-modified photos I shoot in-store), reworking our website, tracking analytics, doing social media, and diving deep into automation, AI & neck-deep in negotiating POS options (side question: does anyone actually love their POS system? 😅). And my latest obsession has been training with flashcard system (menu, SOPs, dress code, you name it!) to make onboarding but also regulary training smoother, faster, and even kinda fun. I'll tell you how it goes. I’m here to learn from others who’ve been through similar journeys — and just as much to share what I can in return. Excited to be part of the group and looking forward to connecting with more of you. Cheers, Nisse (& Alison!) Jeannine’s – Santa Barbara, CA https://www.instagram.com/jeanninesrestaurants/?hl=en

7-Step Self-Sustaining Management System
Just spent 1 hour and 45 minutes diving into Mr. Yanovsky’s 7-Step Self-Sustaining Management System — and wow! It reminded me of Google’s Project Aristotle, which found the median team size for high-performing teams have around 10 people. The M1/M2/M3 framework offered a brilliant structure for scaling with consistency. “The goal is not to be involved.” That hit hard. I am now thinking about building systems that move forward without me directly involved. That is a tectonic shift from my thinking just a couple of hours ago. Grateful for the insights and excited to learn more.

48% Sales Growth in 3 Months?! Let’s go! That’s what happens when you have systems, accountability, and a clear path to scale. Massive respect for implementing fast — growth like this doesn’t happen by accident.
7% Food Cost Increase
Working with Alex teach you how to manage from the numbers, he introduce his inner circle students to his CFO that overseas the financial in his 700+ restaurant and was able to asses the need of our business and come up with a tracking method for us, noticing our food cost went up 7% and by having the data available it was easy for us to go to our vendors and negotiate with them to bring down the price and control that number again, was extremely helpful, it saved us $12,000 in FC in on month along!

🔥 That’s a HUGE win!A 7% spike in food cost can quietly bleed thousands if you don’t have visibility — and you caught it fast because you had the system in place. Love how you leveraged the CFO support + vendor strategy to lock it back in. That $12K/month savings isn’t just a quick fix — it compounds over time. Proud of you for executing 👊 This is exactly why we obsess over numbers. Most owners wait until it’s too late — you took control before it turned into a profit killer. Keep sharing wins like this. You’re inspiring others to manage like CEOs.
