"We are our choices" - Jean-Paul Sartre
Sartre is one of the most celebrated philosophers of his time, and his belief was that every person is the sum total of their actions. The person I am today, the person I was this past week, the person I was for the previous ten years, are all different versions of me, because they are collections of different actions. It is then simple to identify what we need to do in the future to become who we want to be, by asking: What are the sum total actions that the person I want to be would take?
I am forgiving
๐Ÿ‘‰ โ€œThis week showed me that I am someone who can forgive. This week I learned that forgiveness and boundaries can coexist. - Forgiveness is about freeing myself from the heaviness of anger. - Boundaries are about honoring my worth and protecting my energy. - I can forgive and still remain aware of patterns. - I can forgive and still choose distance when needed. - I can forgive and still stand firm in my truth. Forgiveness is strength. Boundaries are wisdom. Together, they create freedom. I wish this is something I learned years ago.

That's a great distinction to draw between the two things!
The person who has a 'why', can bear almost any 'how'
This is a quote from Friedrich Nietzsche. He wasn't known for being much of an optimist, but this is a very optimistic statement. What it implies is if someone is having difficulty with doing something (the how) what they should investigate is if they have a strong enough 'why' to motivate them. Motivation is something that is supplied by how strong our 'why' for any achievement is. Waking up at 5AM seems hard and not worth it depending on the reason - if the 'why' is to work on a task you don't care about you won't be motivated. If the 'why' is because if you do it for 365 days in a row there's R1 million rand waiting for you, suddenly the motivation shifts entirely. The difference isn't in your motivation levels intrinsically, the difference is in the 'why' your brain uses to justify it. Have you determined what your reason is for all of your objectives in life? If any of the 'hows' are seeming too difficult, give some thought to whether or not some of the 'whys' need to be reworked.

@Chanรฉ Potgieter What a great quote! Thanks Chane, adding that to the quote bank ๐Ÿ‘
What you put in, is what you get out
Eating healthier became easier to stay consistent with when I changed my perspective from depriving myself of certain foods, to thinking about preserving my body so that it can help me achieve what I want to. Our bodies are the vessels that we need to carry us to our goals - we canโ€™t mistreat the vessel and expect to reach the top of the mountain ๐Ÿ’ช
