The Sacred Ordinary
Dear Teacher, On this New Year's Day, a reminder that most of teaching is beautifully ordinary. Rolling out mats. Opening windows. Repeating cues we’ve said hundreds of times. Seeing familiar faces settle into familiar spots. And yet… Within the ordinary, the sacred hides. A student who finally notices their breath. Someone who arrives heavy and leaves lighter. The moment the room exhales together. The split-second where everything goes still. This month, honour the ordinary. It’s not “just another class.” It’s someone’s first step toward feeling whole again. Someone’s anchor in a chaotic week. Someone’s reminder that they’re not alone. You may never know the impact you make, but it’s there. Keep tending the ordinary. It’s where transformation grows. With appreciation, Ann-See

Coincidences, yes I do believe in them. Someone, I knew a long time ago, needed some VAT help, we were pointed in each other's direction by a mutual friend. The person needing VAT help and I got together I pointed him in the right direction and we arranged another meeting. Forgot all about it until I was having a coffee with the mutual friend and, afterwards, checked my phone. The person needing VAT help had been in touch! Had to think about the book a bit in the beginning as it did seem to move fast.
BOOK CLUB
The book for July-August is The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. It's a fictional tale about the meaning of life that attained cult-like status when it was first released 30 years ago in 1994, and that's when I first read it. It’s an easy-to-follow adventure story featuring some cosmic concepts of life, the universe, and our place in it. And it’s a book that - if you let it - might just change your life (and if/when it does, encourages you to pay this gift forward by passing it onto another friend who’s ready to receive its very important message). “Your whole life has been a long road leading directly to this moment.” ― The Celestine Prophecy Our 7-week Read-along starts today, and I'll post reflection questions weekly here. Let me know if you're in and commenting below.

When I was first asked if I would like to teach yoga I said "NO", 2nd time I didn't reply. There was no 3rd time - a class was cancelled - I said yes
