Tarot Deck
Hey everybody! I want to purchase my first tarot deck and am looking for recommendations. Preferably something Afrocentric with beautiful imagery. Any thoughts?

Greetings Shelia, There are so many wonderful options out there. I am curious if you are looking for a deck for reading yourself or for others? I find that different decks carry different energies and personalities and I move through decks when reading for myself or reading for clients. Below are three I use for both that I personally love and feel a strong connection to: -Tazama African Tarot: brilliant imagery and symbolism. It features historical figures from across the African diaspora and highlights their respective stories. -The Hoodoo Tarot – a rich cultural artifact celebrating Black Southern history, folklore, and traditions. The suits and arcana are renamed using terminology steeped in Hoodoo practice but if you already have a basic understanding of traditional tarot, it’s fairly easy to catch on. There’s also a companion workbook available. -Dust II Onyx Tarot – powerful archetypes, symbolism, and cultural mythology abound in this one. The artwork is mysticism personified. Like the Hoodoo tarot, it replaces some traditional tarot names which adds to its allure. With what seems like limitless options to choose from, know that the deck(s) you are looking for is also looking for you. Blessed journey uniting with your deck(s). 💚🙏🏾
EroSomatic Curiosity 👀👀
When was the last time your body surprised you with pleasure in an unexpected place? Take a few moments to reflect on nonsexual sources of delight—like light on skin, wind, or scent—and share how they might inform your erotic map. You might want to journal about this one. We are trained to ignore these little nudges from the body.

The ABC's of Pleasure in the classroom has inspired me to create my own list of nonsexual pleasures for each letter. My A is for Adornment, and in this case, bejeweling my body. I delight in the cool metal - that dangles from my ears - grazing against my cheeks and the beads I have consecrated hugging the small of my waist and the bangles sliding up and down my arm as they send sound waves signaling they have fallen into one another. Simple yet potent pleasures.
The Day You Desire
Good morning!! How are you setting the tone for the day that you desire? What have your morning rituals prepared you for? What do you want to add?

@Nydia Guity I too am affected by the shift that comes with shorter days and colder temperatures. I’ve learned to yield to its command to go slow, to rest, to be still and listen.

@Raynell Marie while living in N Florida, I lived 15 minutes from the salt water (ocean) in one direction and 15 minutes from the sweet water (river) in another. I became the water baby I am praise singing at the river while watching the dolphins during the week and taking my children to “church” every Sunday morning to watch the sun rise on the beach. Surely and truly, the water is the way. 🌊

No overt self-promotion, spam, or unsolicited links to external services, products, or other communities. If you share a resource, ensure it directly relates to the conversation and provides significant value to the project's goal. Amina's resources are the exception. Keep it Focused on Pleasure & Somatics: Ensure your posts and questions are relevant to the group's mission: adult, pleasure-based sex education and the somatic (body-centered) approach. Off-topic, political, or purely personal rant-style posts will be removed to maintain focus. Welcome New Explorers: When new members introduce themselves, greet them warmly! A cohesive community makes everyone feel seen and welcomed. Respond to questions and share your victories (big or small) to encourage others.
