Watch time from unlisted videos will no longer count towards the 4,000 public watch hours required for YouTube monetization, even if those hours were accumulated when the video was public. Once a video is unlisted or made private, the watch hours it contributed while public are removed from the total counted toward monetization eligibility.

I saw this quote a while ago and thought to share it.
