Hey everyone! Something really big just dropped in the AI world, so big that you need to know about it and I really encourage you to try it yourself. ChatGPT just rolled out a brand-new feature for Plus members ($20/mo version) called Deep Research. It’s hard to describe just how powerful it is. So what is Deep Research? It’s our first preview of what AI research agents can do, it can go out on the internet and do legit research and synthesize that learning into a full analyst report. It takes 15 to 30 minutes to run a deep research project. And then it will create a 20 page report that is fully cited with sources. Here are a few ways that it could be helpful to nonprofits: ➡️ Research all the foundations in my area that align with my nonprofit mission ➡️ Research all my previous donors to find recent updates and craft custom messages to each one ➡️ Research emerging social issues and underserved areas within the community I support I'm going to be showing some of these demos today so be sure to join if you can. I have been trying out Chat GPT to write proposals and plans when I don't know where to start. What I have discovered is that it has decreased the time I spent on crafting documents by 50% or more. The outputs still need finessing, greater context, and intentionality, but the basic work well. On several occasions, I have asked it to add more context to a document that is too concise. It adds more context and volume. Keep asking for more context or intention until you have something you can further finesse. An added bonus has been adopting new recommended language to explain our work and ideas that resonate with new audiences. It has been very helpful.
