Day 2: Why the Eggplant? The Unexpected Origin Story 🍆🌈
Hey Goosify legends! Quick history drop of the eggplant emoji—before the eggplant emoji was making all our chats a little spicier, this purple veggie was busy conquering ancient Asian gardens like a boss. The eggplant first took root over 2,000 years ago somewhere between India and China. Back then, it looked more like a tiny wild berry than the big, shiny purple dude you know today. Ancient farmers probably whispered, “What is this weird, purple thing? Can I eat it?” Spoiler: they did, and it was delicious. Fast forward—Arab traders gave the eggplant a fancy ticket to ride all the way to the Mediterranean, where it went from “weird fruit” to dinner VIP. Later on, European explorers carried it across the ocean like the veggie-version of a rockstar on tour, landing in the Americas. Now, here’s the magic Goosify twist: @Goose Dunlavey told me today in the Super Star Call, that he picked the eggplant as our community symbol because of the color purple—rainbows, vibes, and all the greatness that purple represents. So, this isn’t just a regular veggie; it’s a purple rainbow ambassador for all things quirky, fun, and surprisingly deep. So every time you drop that eggplant 🍆 emoji, remember you’re flashing a little rainbow of Goosify spirit—bold, fun, and unmistakably legendary. Your turn: What’s your favorite emoji or color that totally vibes with your personality? Drop it below and let’s paint Goosify our way! Stay colorful, — Your resident eggplant fan and storyteller Fex PS: this one goes straight to @Gunta Skrastiņa (she is my accountability buddy for this 20 page/day) challenge PPS: Kudos to @Michelle McMillionairess my Blitzpartner in crime to make a shoutout about our Blitz name fruit salad this evening on the Super Star Call

That’s so great about the purple facts!!! Love love love, purple . When I was younger, there was a store in Faneuil Hall Marketplace in Boston (Massachusetts girl here ) called the Purple Panache. Everything they sold was purple. It was the coolest place on earth. This is from one of their T-shirts and it has really cool description of a purple person. Check it. Unfortunately, she passed away about 10 years ago and the store is no longer there, but this is her picture. If Louise was alive, she’d probably be selling purple things online and be inside this community. She was funny like all the other beautiful purple peoples here. 💜💜💜💜💜

It’s Good To Be Silly
Hi I’m Steve, my favourite colour is blue. Although I’m well known in my family and friends group for all my pink shirts etc. My favourite Pokémon is Charizard. Second was Growlithe. (My favourite colour should really be red 😅) What I’m struggling with in my community is probably getting better leads and more qualified people in. I’m all about learning and personal growth through habit development. So share your knowledge with me and I shall listen and take action. Plus I’m always happy to help you where I can too.

Not sure of the details yet buuuut.... it would be a weekly show (one that ive ALWAYS wanted to see) that talks JUST about good stuff that happens in the world some macro like "Pokemon found to be real and in the wild!" and some micro like "Someone just scored the star on skool!" It will be 1 hour per week and maybe connected to our weekly tech releases maybe connected to the star call... wdyt??
