Great Season. Definitely a learning year for me. So thankful it was primarily injury free! I went into my Junior year hoping to dominate, but I didn't quite accomplish what I'd desired. After season ending injuries my Freshman and Sophomore year, and injuries in the offseason, I just didn't have the experience and reps that make the difference. The first 6 games, I was making silly mistakes(like taking my first step sideways vs. attacking). All season on film, I was just so close to making big plays, but one or two steps away. A big struggle I had was staying on my block to long, and playing safe/slow, vs. explosive. Second half of the season, the reps started to show, and I started to make more plays. Getting the extra games in tournament was huge. We made it all the way to states, and won on a crazy Hail Mary play. Lake Mary, FL 7A State Champions. Crazy amazing! Such a cool experience! Now my objectives for the offseason is get the explosive get off and speed that I was missing this past year, put on some lean mass, do well in 5v5 this spring, and ball out at camps this summer. Definitely the speed, and more specifically, the get-off of giants like the Bosa Brothers, or Myles Garrett! But their hands and leverage are sooo good too!
