Betrayed, Burnt, & Bitten
So… what started as a simple trip turned into a full-blown 7,000-mile odyssey of chaos, corporate betrayal, laughter, concrete floors, dodgy food, burnt skin, and mosquito bites the size of grapes. Went to see my YouTube coach in Austin Texas, and all seemed good in the world, a new city for me and warm sunshine in the last weeks of October, unheard of in England. ✈️ Austin, Texas — The Warm-Up When I finally landed in Austin, I was excited, tired and awake when the whole city slept, half-zombie. But boy what a city! Austin’s got this brilliant energy, live music on every corner, barbecue that smells like heaven, and people who actually smile at you (madness, I know). It’s not at all like the UK, it's louder, it's hotter, it's beautifully strange, even the homeless group I found under a bridge loved to listen to me and offered me some kind of broth, all that and with better brisket what was not to love. My 1-2-1 coaching with Vendy went so much better than expected too. It was the perfect warm-up for what was to come: Cancun. And that’s where everything changed. ✈️ Dallas, Texas — The Betrayal I left the calm, picture-perfect hills of the Cotswolds, where even the sheep look relaxed, to head off on what I thought would be a smooth little getaway. How naïve of me. Somewhere between Austin and Cancun, the travel gods decided to have a laugh and made Dallas happen. My “short” transfer flight via Dallas turned into a 24-hour survival challenge on the hard concrete floor of the airport, rude, and noisy municipal workers, a pick pocket who thought I was asleep, ejected from the airport with no boarding pass or signal by a dickhead security guard, and with limited fucks given by American Airlines (now forever known as Wankers). No bed. No blanket. No dignity. No food. No luggage. Closed Bathrooms. 3 hour long queues, and the last stale cheese sandwich that tasted like regret. The food? Awful. The airline? American Airlines — Awful never again! The experience? Character-building… apparently.

@Saul Hernandez Hey Saul how are doing? It's more like fall rather than winter here, not pretty cold, no.rain yet, we wear jackets in the morning and take them off midday. I prefer hot weather all year long over a couple of months of cold weather.

@Saul Hernandez Well, I don't mind the hot weather, like at all. I'm more into turning on ACs than heaters.
HATE YouTube Ads? Secret to Never Watching Another One Again...
This is totally unrelated to health, but if you download and use Brave browser, it is like getting YouTube Red for Free. ZERO ADS, and you can play unlimited YouTube videos with your phone screen off so it doesn't burn up your battery. You will never see another YouTube ad, or get a pop up on weird Chinese sites, no getting diverted with links that come up out of nowhere on websites, and those Awful Bloody "Reject or Accept Cookies" popups never will bother you again. Brave Makes the Internet What it Used to Be Like 20 Years Ago. Only Faster than Dialup. https://brave.com/download/ I'm not an affiliate or anything. I just hate ads. Just random advice I wanted to share. I'm going to post this in Kourse, too.
HATE YouTube Ads? Secret to Never Watching Another One Again...

@Danielle Wright I totally respect your opinion when I have a different point of view, yes, ads made me money. When Covid hit and the lock down was forced, I decided not to spend time on some couch watching TV or scrolling on my phone, I decided to learn something I really wanted but never had time for, so I learned mobile app development with no code. Within several months I started earning from ads on my apps, within a year those earnings were enough to be my main source of income and remained like that for 2 years. That's why I have empathy for content creators on YT, specially the ones without a huge audience, without a team or fancy equipments. Last year I worked as an affiliate for a guy who taught me how to run fb ads effectively, I got hooked on ads and how fast they can get results and I managed to get him 400+ sales using ads within a few months. Which drove to take a Google exam, a Meta exam and earned a badge for each of them. So when I mentioned ads, I talked as a previous "content creator" and as a digital marketer, marketers have a different point of view when its about ads, so when regular people see an ad they don't care about, we see a hook, a story and a call to action. I agree that the big companies sell people's data, Zuckerberg faced a lawsuit for that, and Google faced lawsuits too, the cookie thingy became an old school way of tracking because fb changed its tracking system and updated it and it claimed "users data are encrypted", other companies changed their tracking system as well but the cookie policy is remained, but hey, let's say I created a product or I offered a service and wanted to get prospects FAST, depending on content to raise awareness can take years while I could get clients within a few days. Yes, there are bad ads, there are websites with like a billion links and pop-ups, I avoid such sites and browse through trusted ones. And again Danielle I respect your opinion, but we just have different point of views.

@Danielle Wright I absolutely came to this community to improve my health and get support, and after I mentioned having an issue with decipline I created a plan to fix that. Oh and BTW I got back on my bike and I've been cycling for 30min a day for seven days in a row. No I didn't join to promote my services, I was just being transparent about my background and if offering free help with GHL or email issues would make you feel uncomfortable then forget about what all I said and I wouldn't be mentioning anything else but health.
Excited to start my journey here
Hi everyone, I'm Shadi from Jordan. I’m excited to join this community and be part of a group that’s focused on making real changes. The last time I got on scale I was 104kgs and I was like "Ok, this is serious and it's time to take control of my health again". I've managed to lose weight before and weighted 84kgs back then but that was 2 years ago, I was on a low-carb diet but it was exhausting and I suffered from fatigue and keto-flu like symptoms, maybe because my nutritionist asked me to avoid sault. Anyway that exhaustion drove me to quit dieting for a while. My main exercise back then was cycling on zwift (which I still pay for without cycling) I got on a carb cycling diet and it seemed like cheating haha, I mean there were days when I ate more than I usually do, my coach was an amazing guy but I honestly couldn't commit. My main goal is to lose the extra weight, get in shape and learn from you guys healthy habits, how to build them and be committed. Yes, to be mentioned, discipline isn't my strong suit, and thats why I gain weight back. I joined this community because I believe surrounding myself with supportive people will keep me motivated. Looking forward to learning from all of you, sharing my wins and struggles, and supporting each other on this journey.

@Danielle Wright We'll schedule the call to figure that out. Well, tbh, I need to fix my messed up schedule first.
