Betrayed, Burnt, & Bitten
Soโ€ฆ what started as a simple trip turned into a full-blown 7,000-mile odyssey of chaos, corporate betrayal, laughter, concrete floors, dodgy food, burnt skin, and mosquito bites the size of grapes. Went to see my YouTube coach in Austin Texas, and all seemed good in the world, a new city for me and warm sunshine in the last weeks of October, unheard of in England. โœˆ๏ธ Austin, Texas โ€” The Warm-Up When I finally landed in Austin, I was excited, tired and awake when the whole city slept, half-zombie. But boy what a city! Austinโ€™s got this brilliant energy, live music on every corner, barbecue that smells like heaven, and people who actually smile at you (madness, I know). Itโ€™s not at all like the UK, it's louder, it's hotter, it's beautifully strange, even the homeless group I found under a bridge loved to listen to me and offered me some kind of broth, all that and with better brisket what was not to love. My 1-2-1 coaching with Vendy went so much better than expected too. It was the perfect warm-up for what was to come: Cancun. And thatโ€™s where everything changed. โœˆ๏ธ Dallas, Texas โ€” The Betrayal I left the calm, picture-perfect hills of the Cotswolds, where even the sheep look relaxed, to head off on what I thought would be a smooth little getaway. How naรฏve of me. Somewhere between Austin and Cancun, the travel gods decided to have a laugh and made Dallas happen. My โ€œshortโ€ transfer flight via Dallas turned into a 24-hour survival challenge on the hard concrete floor of the airport, rude, and noisy municipal workers, a pick pocket who thought I was asleep, ejected from the airport with no boarding pass or signal by a dickhead security guard, and with limited fucks given by American Airlines (now forever known as Wankers). No bed. No blanket. No dignity. No food. No luggage. Closed Bathrooms. 3 hour long queues, and the last stale cheese sandwich that tasted like regret. The food? Awful. The airline? American Airlines โ€” Awful never again! The experience? Character-buildingโ€ฆ apparently.

@Danielle Wright I never say never, but when you've had two angels in your life I'm not sure there is another in the wings for me. Claire melted all the bad things in my life like an ice cube in the Cancun sun. ๐Ÿค

Whee! Broke the first plateau!
Weighed myself this morning and I've lost 3 kilos! I'm feeling a lot more positive now!

You Guys, I Miss You! We Feel So Quiet and Busy Lately
Anyway, I want to start doing a weekly call where we just hang out, we catch up, we talk about health stuff, wins, what's going on in life, pick each other's brains, get some new weight loss ideas you didn't even know you needed, stuff like that. What day and time can we do that?

I'm up at all hours but usually driving or working, not unusual to pull a 24 shift on this job so let me know or put it in the Skool Calendar and I will try to be there

Happy 1st Month to me! ๐Ÿค—๐ŸŽ‚
I can proudly say I have not cheated a single time during this month. Although, sometimes I have to look back to regain conciousness about how far my healing process has gone since I started. Really, it has been all about healing my diabetic diagnosis, high glucose and triglycerides levels along with refusing to take drugs/medication at all, all while quitting for good ALL sugar consumption, specially sodas (which I was specially addicted to) and I won't lie to you, I could have been more gentle with myself in that regard because I have had not a single day without withdrawals, abstinence syndrome, numbness and dizziness. Having literal nightmares fueled by the promise of going back to feeling awful or fainting. Now I feel SO much better in every way and I'm very happy to say this; there are days that I actually feel better than before I was struck with sickness. Going from all what this implies in symptoms to being better than before it all started is no short of amazing. Again, I was told I would have to take serveral medication drugs for the rest of my life. The best part of it all is that every day I'm getting better and better at least by a little bit, it is almost unnoticeable at times since I've come closer to completing the first month. One has to keep going with discipline and fear. Yes, fear; the great teacher. If you don't have it in your life or don't need it, thank God. But if you do, value it. It is a starting fuel that helps us begin every journey and it slowly starts transforming into love. The roadmap for me right now is to continue improving my habits. There is PLENTY I can still do better, and more so knowing everyone's own way to getting into the healthiest life style is different in many ways. I already enjoy many of the beautiful results of adapting to it but I'm looking forward to many more results that have yet to show. And finally, what @Danielle Wright was not lying at all! She actually makes magic chocolate cakes 100% suitable for our lifestyle. The only detail she forgot to mention was that these are actually BETTER than most of the "normal" cakes I have ever tasted before! I took no picture of the Frappe because I completely forgot about all my surroundings for it's duration when I tasted it , but the chocolate Frapuccino was an equal treat and surprise as the keto cake. I was so happy to be pampered and thank you Danielle for showing me that there is light at the end of every tunnel one may gaze upon.

@Saul Hernandez the rich are built on the cannon fodder of the working man, all the people I know who are rich in my mind do not hold a candle to them that truly are.
And so it begins.
I have the INSTRUCTIONS. This is going to be interesting. I already quit the coffee (dunno how I still function - hey, no laughing, Danielle) ... It'll be different. Sneaking into the kitchen for a ... raw egg yolk. If you're on this journey too, enjoy the success you earn. I'm sure it will be well worth it.

Hi @Anthony Smits and welcome to the mad house, the best advice is just find your own groove and go with it. Somethings will be a piece of cake and others (who some find easy) you will struggle with. Addiction is always down to your grit, the metal battle, of course it will depend on how addicted you are? But if you stick with it, you WILL need some braces to keep your pants (Trousers in my country) up, or you'll be buying new ones every two weeks. There are so many ways to achieve great results but my advice is don't copy me because I did it all wrong and worried our guardian angel @Danielle Wright . Anyway buddy, if you want to chew the fat, (because the more fat you eat the more fat you'll loose) just holla and we will be there. Oh and the "hard on's" are not to be confused with "lard on's", just as a Mall is not to be confused with a Mole, @Danielle Wright unless you want to wet yourself ๐Ÿคช

@Anthony Smits Wellington eh, know it reasonably well as I was in NZ for 6 years, working in Auckland but living in Kaitaia in the far north. So a fond 'Tฤ“nฤ koe, Haere mai' to you and your lovely wife, buddy.
