Hi Everyone! Thank you all for being part of this journey!! After 6 months of posting 1 long form per week and mostly posting 1 short 4-6x a week (only for the past 3 months with the shorts) I've reached monetization! It's official!!! PINCH ME!!! Super excited!!! 🥳

Hello all. This past week I slowed down and followed the advice to let my video simmer on YouTube before getting all wound up and posting immediately. I also modified the lighting for the photo on my thumbnail, then used ChatGPT to help me with time stamps and chapters (per one of Alexa's videos since I had no clue that was a thing)...and one of my videos surpassed anything I have experienced...with 477 views so far, I picked up an extra 25 subscribers, and had some lovely comments from viewers. I felt more authentic which was my biggest win. Comments and likes haven't been happening much for me up until this point. This has been an exciting experience. Big thanks to Alexa for creating/hosting such a large, supportive community that is encouraging me to keep on creating. My channel is blossoming and feels more and more like something I can sustain. Hi Everyone!! As mentioned in a recent post I just got monetized after 6 months of weekly posts 🥳 My question is how many ads do you recommend placing? ChatGPT said 3-4 mid-roll ads per a 15-20 minute video but that seems excessive. I understand the more ads, the more income BUT I also want to be empathetic to viewers. I'd love to hear from everyone: people who are placing ads and people who are watching content with ads. For those who may want to know: The video that went "viral for me" at 10k views was a comparison video which people have a love/hate with in case anyone wants to try that type of content (just know you will get a LOT of hate too 😂) Thank you so much!!!

I just put up a Short I actually filmed months ago but I never used my drive in to my Philly Skyline video about City Hall talking about it for 40 seconds from I-95 in the car. The long form video has 58 current views on Historic City Hall with Willam Penn’s statue atop. I released the Short as a fun history “Where is it?” It actually appears for a few seconds. 1 comment so far which is nice for a Short
