If you could go back to the day you started government....
If you could go back to the day you started government contracting and give yourself one piece of advice, what would it be? Not a book.Not a course. Just one lesson that would have saved you time, money, or frustration. I'm curious to see what experienced contractors would tell their beginner selves.

What's the biggest misconception people have about......?
What's the biggest misconception people have about government contracting? For me, it seems like a lot of people think they need a huge company before they can compete. Interested to hear what myths you've run into.

@April Fundal It's awesome that you're helping your boss build a government contracting business. I've heard from several people that getting supplier responses can be one of the biggest challenges, especially when you're a new company without a purchasing history. I'm currently spending my waiting time researching RFQs, learning how to evaluate opportunities, and building supplier lists. Hopefully, as we both gain experience, we'll find strategies that improve supplier response rates. Wishing you and your boss the best of luck! I hope we both get to share some wins here soon

There has to be a better way. posting and waiting or hoping someone will help or guide you, but only get partial answers, and if I have more questions it drags, or does not get response, very frustrating!

@Rudy Cadena I have a question: If you could go back to the beginning, what do you wish you had done before everything was approved and you were ready to bid? what pre work should I be doing, while I "hurry up and wait"?
