PR IN PROCESS??
Hey Skoolies ! its been a long time since I have been on here, hope everyone is good going into the new year. I have a question and it pertains to dibbs. I have benn looking at different RFQ and the RFQ's I want to bid on all say "PR inprocess" ..have never seen that before . Does that mean a the contract is in the process of being given to an entity? Thx !

Hey Eric, PR means the Purchase Request has been created, but the government has not yet released the solicitation for award. You can't win it or bid on it yet, but you can prepare for it
Commercial New Surplus
Hi All. I would appreciate some insight on if you can supply commercial new surplus to the DLA. If so, can you go into details on how you submit you bid in dibbs? What documents might you need to provide?

Simple Breakdown of What NSNs and CAGE Codes Actually Mean
Most people hear “NSN” or “CAGE Code” and immediately think it’s just government jargon, but understanding these two terms is one of the biggest shortcuts to decoding how the DLA actually buys. Here’s the simple version: NSN (National Stock Number) → Think of this as the government’s internal “barcode.” Every part, bolt, bearing, or screw the military buys is tracked by an NSN. FSC/FSG Codes → The first few digits of an NSN tell you what category that item falls under (for example, bearings, fans, electrical parts, etc.). CAGE Code → This identifies the manufacturer or vendor that’s approved to supply that item. When you see a CAGE Code tied to an NSN, that means the government already has verified sources for that part. Why this matters: If you know how to read NSNs, you can reverse-engineer entire DLA contracts, see what’s selling, who’s supplying it, and position yourself to compete in those exact categories. Stop chasing random NAICS codes, they don’t drive DLA buys. NSNs do. 🎥 Watch the full breakdown here: https://youtu.be/qtWo-bPzxXs?si=bpmsJGPbhCCCjWDe
YouTube Comment Story: How Someone Got Their First RFQ Just From Watching Free Videos
Someone dropped a comment on one of our YouTube videos that really hit home. “I’ve been watching your free videos for about a month — and I just got my first RFQ from DLA today.” No paid course. No one-on-one coaching. Just free YouTube content, a notebook, and consistent action. And here’s the cool part, this is exactly how people like Melvin Scott got started too. Before winning 7 DLA contracts in under 6 months, Melvin spent months studying free resources, attending DLA’s TKO sessions, and learning the system before he ever placed a bid. That’s the blueprint right there 👇 ✅ Learn the basics ✅ Take messy action ✅ Stay consistent You don’t need to know it all — you just need to start. If you’ve been watching videos, taking notes, and waiting for the “right time”… this is your sign. Your first RFQ could be one quote away. 🎥 Watch the video that started it all here: https://youtu.be/XhUhtilSeXw?si=prt4MZ4a-AzFJNNn
