🌿 For the Rest of Us
*Thank you, Jenna, for giving us the generous opportunity to share about our communities here!* After a season of burnout that changed the trajectory of my life, I became passionate about the importance and power of rest. This journey led me to pursue a Doctorate in Spiritual Formation, become a spiritual director, and walk alongside ministry leaders, creatives, and purpose-driven community builders, encouraging them in their journey. Just this past weekend, I officially launched my community for creative leaders learning to live and lead from a place of rest in Jesus. Through online mini-retreats, workshops, journaling prompts, and intentional conversations, we’ll explore spiritual formation, rhythms of rest and purpose, and reflective practices that help you pause, connect with God, and create without burning out — together in community. If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to join us and engage in something meaningful from the very beginning… For the Rest of Us

I don't recall where I first heard about Skool but I knew very little about it until Hormozi's launch this past summer. The rest is history.
My 1 Year Journey! 🥳
Gonna summarize the loom :) What have you learned? - Anything can work if you stick to it for long enough- the power of volume is CRAZY What’s changed for you? - I went from working construction full-time for $300/month to making $3k+/month online :) What moments stand out most? - Going from $0 to $700/month in 11 days was a special feeling. - Getting my first high ticket client at $1000/month was also amazing. - And then having a cool partnership & full-time position at $3000/month helped me have a pretty cool time in Bali as a digital nomad! What would you tell someone who’s only a few weeks or months in and thinking about giving up? - Break everything down into small steps, and ideally have a mentor you trust who can help you do that. - Make $1000/month online seems scary but if you break it down to: offer, market, price, volume required for a client, etc. then it's not nearly as scary. Huge shoutout to @Jenna Ostrye for the last year, you've genuinely changed my life forever and I'm super grateful for you :)

Controversial Take: The Shortcut Mentality Is Keeping You Stuck
The way to make quick money. The way to get traffic fast. The way to rank higher asap. Everyone’s chasing the next way to avoid doing the work instead of building something that actually lasts. I’ve never once seen someone create a meaningful, happy, fulfilled life surrounded by people worth having in their circle by trying to game or cheat a system. Just like a fire starter, it burns fast and bright with nothing solid underneath to keep it going. In fact, a few who tried to game the system and made it to the Games in the past ended up becoming examples of what not to do and internet memes instead of role models. Shortcuts can look exciting in the moment, but they never build real stability. They don’t create the kind of foundation you can build a business, a brand, or a reputation on. The people who win long term aren’t searching for hacks. They’re refining what works. They’re taking in feedback and iterating. They’re showing up when no one’s watching. They’re stacking small, boring actions that eventually create something unshakable. Quick results fade. Real growth doesn’t need a hack. Where have you seen the biggest difference from slowing down and doing it with intention?

Thanks for these words of wisdom, @Jenna Ostrye! I wholeheartedly agree. Life circumstances slowed me down several years back and it was the one of the greatest gifts. Needing to slow down and trust the process isn’t easy but it’s worth it. I’ve been reminded of this even in recent weeks. I worked for several months in developing a community on another platform. It didn’t go the way I hoped and I shut it down but it was still a win. I learned a great deal, got clarity on next steps, and then I discovered Skool. Life circumstances have slowed me down again in a different way but that’s okay. I choose peace. Rather than rush and stress myself out, I’ve been taking my time, learning the platform and how everything works here. Not to say there aren’t challenges or that I don’t sometimes wish I was a little further down the path but I’m continually reminded that timing is everything… and peace is priceless.
How long have you been on Skool?
Curious to see who’s been here the longest. 👀 How long have you been on Skool, and what’s one change or feature release that you thought was a great move? There’s been a lot of updates over time, so it’ll be fun to see which ones stood out most to each of you.

I signed up after Hormozi’s launch but wasn’t super engaged at first because I was wrapping up a beta community on another platform. I’ve spent much more time engaging in groups over the past month and learned enough to know this is where I want to stay. As for changes, it’s all a big change for me, but it’s cool to hear about all that’s rolling out with tiers and webinars. Great timing to launch a community!
