I've seen heaven and hell in music. Here's why you can't go alone.
You haven't truly lived until you’ve watched an artist you believe in finally hear their song on the radio for the first time. The pure joy is a drug. It’s the "heaven." And you haven't truly lost sleep until you’ve had a can’t miss show fall apart because a key member of your team dropped the ball at the last second. The sheer panic is a nightmare. That’s the "hell." This is the real music management. It’s not just sending emails and making schedules. It’s being a therapist, a strategist, a babysitter, a firefighter, and a cheerleader all before lunch. But here’s the hard truth I learned the hard way: "You cannot be the artist AND the entire engine room." The creative mind that writes a timeless melody is not always the same mind that can negotiate a contract or build a marketing campaign. Trying to do it all yourself is the fastest way to burn out, miss opportunities, and let the business kill the art. So, why is a team non-negotiable? Because your vision deserves a foundation that won't crack under pressure. In the next post, I’ll break down the 3 non-negotiable roles you need on your side before you blow up. Until then, hit reply and tell me: What’s your most recent “heaven” or “hell” moment in your music journey?
