To tell the truth - living courageously authentic is difficult when the world is constantly pushing us to make ourselves smaller and easier to control. I'm on a constant journey to find out what it means to me to live genuinely, and I hope others find themselves on this journey as well!
Well, the angel that I was making did not hold up. I use the air clay while I was painting it. It collapsed on me over and over and over again. I finally had to walk away and although it’s nice to post only positive things it’s also nice to see mistakes or failures, and when I learned helped me to understand that I need to get real clay, and my next sculpture will be even better so hang in there. It’s perfectly OK to have mistakes. Love ya, Dottie
Hey everyone when I try something new? So I took the air, dry clay and shaped it. I added the wings separately and the Hair separately. I used a damp sponge to smooth out the edges that had cracks or just needed to look better and boy that made a difference. So it’s gonna take a few days to dry and then I’m going to paint it and I’ll show you how I paint it with acrylic paints. I got my air dry clay at Hobby lobby. Michael’s crafts also has this kind of clay.
