If social media isn't your thing, and you're struggling to get fresh eyes onto your about page, events are another route in. But to be honest , like social, you have to learn the platform before you can start reaping the benefits. In my opinion, posting an event once and hoping people turn up isn't a strategy. It starts waaaaaay before that, by going to other members' events and presentations, asking questions on those calls, and helping people both on the call and in their communities. That's where my results come from. My first thought each day is who I can support, not how I can promote my latest thing. If you look at my Skool profile, I'm at 15k contributions. I'm not saying this to brag, but I'm ultra competitive, so I don't expect you to match that cadence. But...... But YOU CAN support others. If your last few events have been empty, it's probably because you posted in a few places and hoped for the best rather than getting to know your peers and building people who'll back you. @Heather Wilson and I will promote your event as much as we can, but the work is on you too. Go and support your peers, because if you don't, your next room will likely be empty again. Pick one event in SED this week that isn't yours and go along. Ask a question and help someone out. Also, if you see another member posting their event in The Skool Classifieds, leave a comment and lend your support. Des 👊

I sat down with Chen from Gallstones Tribe to find out a little more about the events he runs and, as usual with Chen, the conversation went in several directions! His upcoming webinar dives into gallstones from a Chinese medicine perspective. It is primarily aimed at Chinese medicine practitioners, but Chen explains that the first part is open to anyone curious about gallstones, whether for themselves or someone they know. But gallstones are really only one part of what Chen can talk about. With decades of experience in holistic health, Chen and his wife work across a huge range of areas, from physical health and herbs to supplements, stress management, wellbeing and looking at health from a rather wider perspective than we perhaps normally do. And his events aren't going to be dry lectures either. Chen reckons his humour is part of the deal, come along, learn something AND have a bit of fun while you're doing it. 😂 In fact, towards the end of our chat he threw down a challenge: Ask him a question he can't answer.
