A mate invited me out for a drink and I nearly turned him down. I wasn’t in the mood for crowded bars, loud music or trying to shout over strangers. We met up anyway. The pub wasn’t much to write home about and our backup venue was shut, so I simply said: “Let’s head back to mine.” Three of us ended up on my balcony for a couple of hours. A whisky.Good music.Good conversation. As they left, it hit me. For years I thought life needed more. More people. More excitement. More everything. Turns out I was wrong. These days, a handful of good friends is enough. What struck me most wasn’t the evening itself. It was how steady I felt. No chasing.No proving.No noise. Just a good evening with good people. It’s taken me a long time to get here, but tonight I realised:

Anyone else miss the fall and winter so we can truly exercise our wardrobe. I miss the cool days of fall where I can layer my sweater or vest under my favorite sport coat. Later into winter I can get out my overcoat and leather gloves. Summertime we have 3, maybe 4 chances to get it right - shirt, slacks or shorts, shoes, and then maybe a true summer weight sport coat. I can always dress "up," but find it hard to dress "down."

First day wearing some of the linen clothes I picked up. OMG! This stuff is better than I thought in the heat.

Oh great font of communal knowledge, What are your thoughts on lining for a seersucker jacket? This will be for a spring/summer-only piece. Full lining seems to defeat the breathable nature of the seersucker. Half lining is an option, but if it's going that way, why not go lining-less? Image for attention/example

Hi all, As big as I am, I don't start with push ups. But after working on it for several months I hit the goal of100 wall ups in a single go. Next up 100 counter or table ups!
