Stillwater Vata-Pitta Evening Tea
@Dianna Doblosky The strongest direction for Vata-Pitta with past trauma is not to “lift mood fast,” but “restore safety in the body.” That points toward gentle nervines, mineral support, moistening herbs, and only light adaptogens so we do not push an already alert system harder. The best herbal direction is warm enough to ground Vata, cool enough not to inflame Pitta, moistening enough to soften depletion, and gentle enough not to overstimulate trauma-sensitive wiring. Best support herbs are Oat Straw or Milky Oats, Lemon Balm, Chamomile, Rose petals or rosehips, Linden flower, Tulsi, small amount, Passionflower, mostly evening, Lavender, tiny amount.

🍓My Best Strawberry Plant So Far 🍓
First year strawberry gardener so it feels exciting when anything grows! (Chosen Category: Wins and Progress because I did a thing I've never done before and I'm proud of myself 👍) I'm curious..... The runner in my hand, is that going to be a baby? What about the growth I circled in yellow? What will it turn into? And in the red circle? Some growth is happening there as well.

@Megan Webb no node that I can see. What are those feelers? Or whatever they are called. I put an arrow pointing to them.
Herbs and Nature
I am curious how many are interested in learning more about herbs and how they are used. For me, herbs are not separate from the garden. They belong in the living system. They feed pollinators, bring scent and diversity, support the soil, add flavor to food, and many have long histories of home use. I do think herbs should be approached with respect, because they are not just “natural products.” They have actions, energetics, strengths, and cautions, although I also think many families can begin simply by learning the common kitchen and garden herbs already around them. What would you be most interested in learning about herbs?

@Jim Flach It's a HUGE need in the chronic illness space. For me, I felt lonely and lost for 23 years. It started in 2002. I didn't find my CI community until 2025. Began my CIC Skool Community in 2026. For me, connection has been the first step toward true healing. And nature. Connecting with the ground and all she provides has been powerful. That's how I stumbled upon @Megan Webb 's group, DIYG. And now your group @Jim Flach . It's ALL about connections and connecting. You are welcome to send anyone my way also. I don't want anyone to go 23 years like I did before finding their tribe. 💚 https://www.skool.com/chronic-illness-champions-6304/about?ref=efd5187bfc854a1d95037d72f24cd7fd

@Jim Flach YES!! I'll DM
Yay or Nay?
🥬Google Lens says Wild Lettuce🥬 Dug this huge sucker out of a raised bed at one of the community gardens in town. Google says it's a bit bitter but the roots are medicinal. ❓Do you know how to prepare the roots❓ ❓Are the greens safe to eat❓ The last thing I want to do is ☠️ poison ☠️ myself. 😆 However, my gardening goal is to be able to identify more wild grown plants. As well as grow and use medicinal herbs to help my chronic illness.

@Vanessa Lowe Gorgeous!! Years ago I got dendelion greens in my CSA (Cimmunity Supported agriculture) veggie box from a farmer. He gave a recipe dor dandelion greens. I made it. It was SO butter! I haven't eaten the greens since then. This was 2010 maybe. Anyways, that's why I make tea and don't eat them. Although I hear the young leaves are less bitter so I just planted seeds and plan on harvesting the leaves young to see if I can saute and eat them again. 15 years later and I still remember how awful it was. We even had company over for dinner and no one could handle it. We had to feed them cereal. 😂😂😂😂🥣 Thanks for asking about how to prepare them! I forgot about that funny story! Dry the flowers! Then you can use them and make tea all year!! Dandelion tea is expensive as far as tea goes. I think I'm going to collect a lot too. Right now I just pick a few flowers to make the tea.a

@Imani McMichael Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME/CFS) Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS) Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) Mental Health I am always looking to connect with others on the chronic illness journey because it's a very lonely and isolated journey. But to find someone who "gets it" like you do AND loves gardening, I just hit the jackpot! 🎯 I would LOVE to message privately to connect more about this. I began a Skool Community with the wole purpose of connecting women with chronic illness from around the world. My group is called Chronic Illness Champions. My belief is that together, chronic illness doesn't have to be lonely. I joined this group (DIY Gardening) to get better at growing my own food. I believe food is one important way to heal my body along with many other ways. Megan has been so gracious to show me how it's possible to do just that. I've only been a member of DIY Gardening for a few weeks but the knowledge on this platform has been phenomenal. Let's connect privately if you're okay with that. I can give you my link if you'd like to see what my group is all about. 💫 Thanks for reaching out. 🫶

@Eva Fournier I'm a newbie to the group. I've been on 2 Live calls and I'm so impressed by her knowledge and the knowledge of others who chime in to help me out. I'm a former elementary school teacher so I find it so cool that your son is using Skool as a community owner! How fun for the younger generation! Ask him how to show you your messages. I'll message you more about what she's helping me with specifically! ☘️
