Dome Progress
I’m getting anxious…I just want my dome done. It has been a pleasant few days and the sun has been out for at least a couple hours each day. I now have the dome completely anchored to the wall and am ready to put the tin over the insulation. I was going to build the garden beds for inside but decided to order some metal ones from Amazon today. In the end it’ll be much easier and cheaper for me to take that route. I also have a couple of solar panels and an inverter hooked up so I can run fans and lights without adding a lot to my household power bill. The photo is of the skylight today, and I think I might go check out the stars from inside the dome this evening (providing the sky is clear). Each thing I get done is one step closer to having it full of plants and the pond. 😀 And yes, I do consider it a gardening win. 🙂

Snowy Day = The Need to Plant
I’ve been procrastinating with getting my little hydroponic gardens done for weeks. Since the wind is whistling outside and the falling snow is blowing around, I decided today is the day. The last time I used them the plants didn’t do well, and I figured it was something to do with the water or nutrient solution. I finally realized that it wasn’t that at all; it was actually the fact that it was just too chilly where I had them set up. Today I put them on heat mats so will give everything a day to warm up and plant tomorrow. Maybe by then I’ll have decided what to plant. So here they sit, waiting for seeds. I will be planting a cherry tomato, some mixed greens, and maybe some broccoli. Aside from that, I’m really not sure. What would you plant?

@Donna Golden Those are the things that are good for you though. Great for the immune system.
I’m Back!
I’ve decided to reactivate the group under the hobby plan, which is a lot less per month than pro. I have been busy over the summer and fall, and have built myself a growing dome (with the help of family and friends) so that I can garden year-round. The exterior is done but almost everything inside still needs to be finished. I’ll be sharing my progress here so stay tuned.

Archiving the Community
After a lot of thought and bouncing the pros and cons around, I have decided to archive this community. I spend a lot more time outside than I do inside, and I simply haven't taken the time to post as often as I had intended to. Plus with the growing dome build on the horizon I'll be extra busy. If you haven't already downloaded the freebies I have included please take advantage of them now. The group will be archived and to my knowledge, any files will no longer be accessible to members. My group is paid until July 2, at which time it will be unavailable for new members, comments, and posts. In all honesty, at $150+ CAD it's no longer feasible for me to keep it going. I do have an alternative so if you wish to continue to follow my gardening journey please DM me and I'll send you the info. Thank you for being here and I have enjoyed seeing your gardens (both inside and out).
