Thanks. As a new lavender grower I was nervous about just when to harvest. Good advice. It was super wet here in NH Spring of 2025. I know of a lavender farm in mid NH that lost a lot of plants due to the rain making it just too wet. I was just starting in beginning of June so was ok. This is my first winter so I’m hoping everything will be ok. I planted Phenomenal, which is best suited for colder climates so am hoping for the best. I will be adding culinary lavender either later this season or next. I’m planting more every year but also have to clear some trees to eliminate shading. It’s just me, so things will be at a slower pace than most. This is shortly after planting.

@Josh Sworski it was a brutal winter. Coldest and longest in years. Finally the snow is melting. The animals did a number on it this winter. Not sure if it was bunnies or deer but they ate quite a bit. I thought they didn’t like lavender!
Lavender Plants In Winter
This video goes over what we do with our plants in the harsh Wisconsin winter. (Hint hint, we don’t do a whole lot 😁)

Your shop is stunning! It looks fabulous. I’m just starting out as a new lavender farmer in NH. Planted 3 gross last year and already placed an order for 3 gross more for this spring. Looking forward to this group.
