Who I am!
Hello All Future Members! I am Josh Sworski and am Co-Owner/Co-Founder of Pondview Lavender Farm. Pondview Lavender Farm is a 9000ish lavender plant farm in Chippewa Falls Wi. We started growing plants in 2020 and have been open to the public for 2 years. This last summer (Summer 2025) we estimate to have over 60,000 people come through our farm in little over 2 months. The reason I created this group is because I recognized a problem. During the summer I realized by talking to thousands of people that just about everyone has questions, problems, or needs help growing lavender. So this group is meant to give people the opportunity to learn from others and from me if they want to grow their own lavender or even start their own lavender farm. General Discussion is highly highly encouraged but I also will offer 2 courses. These are not mandatory but since I have been doing this for over 6 years now, you can imagine the amount of mistakes that I have made and my family has made. I made a course for more hobbyists growers so they know exactly how to get going and what to do. Mind you my family spent 2 years before 2020 doing research about this. I hope to keep people from making costly mistakes and keep people interested in lavender. I also offer a course for anyone who wants to start a lavender farm business, like that of Pondview Lavender Farm. In that course I go over every single important thing from the last 6 years of running a lavender farm. This includes everything from who to hire, best products to sell (My farm alone has loss over $1000 on a failed product which is almost double the cost of the course), how to set up your farm geographically, how to provide an experience instead of just selling products, and everything in between. I want people to learn from one another and even bring others into this community to grow it to the biggest lavender community in the United States!!
