I’m excited to start building this community for runners who want more consistency, accountability, and practical training guidance. I’ll be sharing my own running journey here. I started running a year ago in an effort to keep loosing weight and getting in better shape. I started at 260 and am now down to 180. I run 2-3 times a week depending on kids sports schedules, but would love to 5-6 times a week. My goal for this year is a full marathon. I ran a half last October and had a setback shortly after completing it. What I’m working on is lowering my heart rate more while running. I struggle by pushing myself to the limit and then I keep pushing. I also need to work on strength training more. Happy to be here!
