A little update on my banged up head
Hi everyone I’ve been told I need to rest which I am doing to allow my head to mend and heal. I’m going to see how I feel tomorrow midday before I make an about tomorrow’s live stream. I’m not sure I’m going to be well enough to do it but will see how things look tomorrow. I must say having a fractured skull and brain bleed was not on my todo list or business plan for this week so it’s all a little strange really. Really sorry for this as I really need to upload lesson videos and courses but this takes a focus I don’t currently have. Apparently the Dr’s have said I will feel much better within the next 14 days. I’m sure they’re right. Chat soon Martin x

Thank You Everyone for All Your Support While My Head Heals
So I'm pleased to say after three weeks of rest my head injury is on the mend. It's going to tack another 5 weeks for my fractured skull to heal but much of the dizziness and unpleasant feelings have subsided. Tuesday and Thursday streams are therefore now back. so please do join in the fun and lets get back to making this Skool a place to learn from. Sadly I still can't drink any wine for a while longer but looking forward to our next wine tasting moments in class where I can sip a little with you all. One thing I’ve managed to figure out all on my own is my head is attached to everything else so even making a coffee is challenging 😥 Thank you to everyone for your understanding and help while my skull heals. Martin

Oregon Mist, oil on canvas 800mm x 40mm
This is where my seascapes all started from. A photo that my son took in Oregon's west coastal area. I love it's solitude and peace, it's calming atmosphere. What do feel about it ?

As you know, I absolutely adore this painting. I have an affinity with the sea especially when it interacts with the coast and this captures power and stillness beautifully.
Welcome To My Oil Painting Community
This is a brand new art community that was stated on the 16th Jan 2026 . Please do make a post to introduce yourself and do include what you would like to paint and what help you are looking for. Feel free to ask for help if your struggling to paint something and I will happily engage with you and if needed I will make a video to show you in detail exactly how to progress. The more you share, ask and connect the more you will benefit from this art community. So please do share your paintings and drawings as this is what it's all about. I'm making a new course every 14 days along with live webinars and essential technique videos lessons so there will be lots of activity on here as the weeks progress. Thank you for your support Regards Martin

Hi Martin. Lovely to be here! Sadly, I’ve not been able to dedicate time to my art journey in recent years due to work and other commitments but I don’t want to lose touch.

@Martin Close It’s been a challenging end to 2025 and start to 2026 as you may have seen from my Facebook updates. I’m enjoying my tutoring and looking forward to completing in my third powerlifting competition at the end of February.
