I considered Daughters of the Sun and Moon because I've read several of her books and loved them but I'm kind of in my British history era after visiting London so I chose The Boleyn Secret.

Historical Ficition with Music theme
Sorry I'm late to the game. You had asked about HF dealing with music. One of my all time favorite books was Cry to Heaven by Anne Rice. It is set in Italy and is about the Castrati. Very interesting.
